Re: Squire's Blade Reviews

What no Israeli Red review or rating? Or possibly I've missed something?

Re: Stropping a VALET Autostrop?

Not 4 months but using neats foot oil on each blade the stropping results in a very sharp adequate blade for me. Also works very well on the old Rolls Razor

Re: Curmudgeonly Skepticism of Accepted Wisdom

2 passes with a sharp blade. I mean a really sharp blade. And some buffering or touch up. Can't be beat. 3 passes for me not necessary. Could I do it with a cartridge. Probably but it just wouldn't be the same. Not nearly so comfortable. Find the blade for your razor and face. Done and done!!!

Re: Why buy Simpsons brushes?

Buy a Wee Scot Simpson Brush and decide for yourself. So much from so little a brush. Truly an eye opener! After that it's a crap shoot!

Re: And here we are ---

When I met my girlfriend who became my wife I had no whiskers hardly at all. Went to college in a far away place and came back with a mustache. I have shaved it off once, maybe twice in the last 50 years and my wife told me to grow it back she didn't like my "chicken lips" look without the mustache....

Re: I've got a shedder

I have several synthetic knot brushes. They all work well. But, recently I purchased a Tuxedo synthetic knot on ETSY, put it in an old large white Vintage brush handle and I think it is the best brush I've used so far. It has very firmly packed fibers with uber soft tips and also plenty of backbone....

Re: OneBlade Razor experience

OK, more on the One Blade Razor. I have been using it for awhile. Alternating with a Rockwell 6s and a Feather AS-D2. I really like the One Blade, but the Feather blades just seem to be so hit or miss, at least for me. I have mostly been using the Gem blades and they work fine for a long time. For m...

Re: OneBlade Razor experience

Your experience with the one blade razor is not the same as mine. Possibly you have a superior shaving technique compared with mine? I have been wet shaving for 51 years. I have also tried every possible shaving method except for a straight razor. My definite favorite DE razor is the Feather AS-D2. ...
