It went much better last night, thanks for the advice.

I was indeed putting too much pressure on the razor, I'm used to cartridges. A bit of a learning curve, but I like shaving now instead of dreading it. My wife likes the smooth cheeks too

I decided to give my virgin cheeks a break and did a single pass wtg

I think I got a little over ambitious, I did 3 passes wtg xtg and atg on my 2nd shave LOL 2 nicks and my face felt hot after, no razor burn though.

Successful 2nd shave today!
