Re: OneBlade Core V2
That's a great question. I've only inserted a blade once in the V2, and it was effortless sliding right in. It didn't require much pressure to accomplish the insertion. The V1 was more finicky, in this regard, and the blade would get a bit lopsided as I tried to insert. As I recall, it required a b...

Re: OneBlade Core V2
I finally got around to trying the OneBlade Core V2 which was sent to me as a replacement for my V1 which I ultimately found to be exceedingly mild. Today, I used B & M Latha Unscented and an Omega Hi-Brush synthetic. Loading the Feather blade was easier than the V1 with the blade just sliding ...

Re: Pre shave oil
I have never used a pre shave oil before
However I do have a brand new container
Of VDH pre shave oil that came with the razor
So I will at some point give it a go , I sure hope
It doesn't make a mess of my razor/brush.
I am a big fan of VDH luxury scented soap puck.

Re: Ok, sold DE, now I need to start over
About a year ago, grew a beard and sold my DE and got a Harry's 4 blade razor. Nice, but I miss my DE. Shaved beard and now, after four to six uses, the Harry's blade pulls. A lot different from just using a razor to trim a bit versus a full face shave. Now I have to research what new one to get. I...

Re: Ok, sold DE, now I need to start over
I need a little bit more aggressive. Or least I think I do. I have Gray hair now in my beard and also attended to have to want to shave again at 5:00 if I was going to a party. Sure I'd like to try the Hawk. Of heard the Kai blades are pretty good Sam if you want to try a more aggressive I can sugg...

Re: DE razors which are consider more aggressive than mild
Quiet, isn't it? Some of the three and two piece razors are somewhat more aggressive but not by much until you get up in the higher price range. There are the EJ DE89 series but it's still relatively mild. There is the Merkur 34c and 23C but again, relatively mild. The Parker 98R , nothing mild abo...

Re: Ming Shi 2000s Merkur Futur clone
Anything that is like the Futur or clone but without the bulkiness of the head or its weight? Maybe something like a butterfly or twist -to-open but with adjustable settings? I saw a YouTube video with one of the Rockwell Razors owners, he was demonstrating and Marketing their latest razor it is ca...

Re: Gillette Platinum-Plus blade from Brazil
Well, if you like these blades then grab 'em while you can because the HEB Plus store near me just sold all on closeout at $4.00 per pack and one Walgreens for approx. $3.50. They are now out and there will be no more. The Brazilian Plat Plus was kind of an over priced "Low Rent""Bla...
