Tried it for the first time this am. Lavender and a hint of the lanolin itself. Nice stuff indeed with the proper soap/water ratio. A keeper.

I have not chimed in for a while but just back up north from New York. As of yesterday morning Cambridge Chemists have about 5 tubes of the Limes left (after the 3 tubes I snagged of course) but no other offerings at all. It was nice to see a good range of soaps as I am getting into them more and mo...

Tye, yeah I know I know. I have been a big advocate for the new Shaving Gallery Tea Tree Lime (really citrus) but I have a feeling out there that some like the traditional packaging. This cream is made for a Trumper alumni from Creightons btw. Oh, back to your point...give QED's Quick Shave a try. C...

Tryphon rose soap

A new offering from one of our members is Tryphon's rose soap. I was a bit skeptical in that I have found the English triple milled soaps to provide a better shave. I will say though that although the lather may incorporate a bit more air into the mix this new soap 'appears' to act more like the Eng...

I too SS&S. No no I SS&S...that's right. It might be the excitement for a new product but I do here a bit less of the Nancy Boy stuff, the CAR formulations or any non traditional items as of late. It is a traditional shaving forum first and last. Things like QED's sticks, quick shaves (& my fave the...

Chris (AZ), The Quick Shave will run you close to 11 bucks. If Chris F. has used only one shaving product for a month it must be worth checking out. Actually thought it gave a nice shave indeed & I concur with the comments from Chris about it's affect on the face. Very smooth. Charles in Charge (Hi ...

Frederick, Many agree here that TGR a/s is excellent. I will throw my two scents in for the Shaving Gallery cream as well. More like a traditional English produced cream (which it is) but with a 'healthier' indredient list more in the lines of TGR. I think a lot of these new firms are on an anti par...

TGR a/s is a great product indeed. It feels tighter & even less greasy than the (old) Harris milk. I see your point about it being more of a winter a/s but come the summer heat I tend to use only the cold water rinse and towel pat. Trumpers Ian Matthews once told me to make sure to drink two big gla...

Randy, Any snow your way yet? PM me later on your take on the greenhouse affect. Yeah your probably right in that the Shaving Gallery creams do state (once opened) that there may be a 6 month shelf life compared to our English friends. Speaking of that I don't know if many members are aware but DR H...

Golf, Great shavegeek question that comes up from time to time. A gent in the Taylor shop in London once told me 3 years is the norm. After that he believed the cream can get dehydrated and hard. Some guys here have had creams last WAY longer than 3 or so years so who really knows. I have recentely ...

Torture! I don't yet see it available in the US (or Canada) and TGS does not appear to stock it yet. I bet Chris F. has had a stach for a few weeks now for sure. A trip down St. James street would be nice right now. Maybe Robert will fill us in when he will stock the cream and soap.

Well, you have to give a nod to that clip & ship USPS service. The TGR A/S arrived in less than 48 hrs from Las Vegas to Vermont and with the free shipping you can't beat that. Having used the product twice now I can see it definitely replacing what leftover (old version) Harris milk I still have. I...

I guess the sticking point now for some is that high price tag. In his shaveblog review Corey did think he might be able to get a years worth of use from the product which is sounds promising.

Cranberry Sauce

Turkey just went in the oven, football on tv later. I remember the days living in Scotland and the questions about our bird holiday. Nothing better than gravy and stuffing. Enjoy all.
