I am on a 12 hour shaving cycle until I try all the soaps. That great rose scent did seem to linger last night longer than what I have been used to. Tried the Lavender this morning. The scent not only woke up the family but with a bathroom window open probably the neighbors as well! Maybe it is the ...

Chris, The shave efficacy compared to the English creams is as good or even better but a little different. It may be a bit lighter but I have been lucky in that the water/soap mix I have created so far has worked great. Gobs of lather but the Progress seems to glide a lot smoother and easier than I ...

QED Soap

Gents, Spent the last week in hotel rooms and it was nice to get back to the hills of Vermont with a delivery from QED. I shaved this morning in Philadelphia with some Trumpers Rose but when I saw my doorstep I knew I would be shaving again today! I just could not wait. Being that I used Rose this m...

Growler my friend a Grand City like New York must carry these wonderful sharp blades from Osaka but, unfortunately we are out of luck. Email Mayor Bloomberg, tell him to forget about the Olympics, and start concentrating instead on those wonderful sharp blades from south western Japan-our own wetsha...

I have really come to appreciate the Merkur Progress. The reason may be I have only used the Feather Platinums but this little razor is a wonderful workhorse. I decided to try the Merkur blades and I have to be honest. The Feathers may be the last word in regard to smoothness and longevity but if yo...

late to the game!

Joel, My car broke down & I'm late to the game! I am an established Wetshavers member who became both confused and tired of all the sniping and decided not to post over there some time ago. I even stopped reading the posts and started to lurk over on Method Shaving but am glad to find some familiar ...

Gordon, The shop here in town also stocked DR Harris but they no longer carry any shaving supplies. I am with you on CAR's oatmeal type cream-we will have to wait on that one. I believe he was the one who said shave soaps can be a nice alternative to creams in the summer months. I have been watching...

Vulfix

Chris, Just back from Halifax (to Woodstock, Vermont) on business. Many trips over the years-great town! I could not wait enough for the Vulfix. Why do I do this to myself!? I ditto all you have claimed. I will go one further-look underneath at the ingredients. Where am I Mars? I do think we should ...
