Talyor's Lavender and Rose are my favorite Taylor's. I really enjoy the shave, scent and lubrication by both of these creams. For me tubes are a necessity since I travel all the time.

As far as prep your face I did not see anything posted. Maybe a hot towel followed by pre shve cream might help lift and soften the hair. While at Target pick up Proraso preshaving cream. It helped me.

I also find this to be true. My best shaves by far are Sunday just because I have a two day growth. Monday morning I have to be more careful because there is much less hair on my face. So I dial down my adjustable to 1 and the planets align once again. I guess what I am saying is you have to get to ...

Besides splashing hot water on your face what other prep do you do? Hot towels?? pre shave cream??? This is mostly done to soften the beard. It helps me quite a bit. Nordstrom, Saks 5thAve and Art of Shaving stores are located in Dallas in case you need to get high end products like T&H and Castle F...

I have a tub of T&H Rose and it also dense not creamy as let say Trumper's. It works just fine for me. I heard somewhere that T&H creams in the tub tend to have this thicker consistency. T&H creams in the tube are otherwise cream like as we know. At least this has been my experience.

I use Proraso preshave cream in addition to the hot towel. You can get this preshave cream at you local Target store in the men's spa section located in the cosmetic section. There are other pre shave oils and creams available. I am sure some of the guys can share their expertise on the subject of p...

I use both the hot towel and the pre shave cream and to me it makes a huge difference. It seems you are doing everything else right but you did not mention anything about how you prep your face for the shave. Preparing the face is, to me, very important as it softens the beard which in turns makes i...

I started with a #1 setting did that for about a week then move to 3 and there I sit for this is the best setting for me. I get maybe 3 to 5 days from a blade at this setting and BBS shaves through out. Now this is with a slim adjustable with my fat boy set on #1 I get the same result. Just start lo...

Gordon, I've think there are a few Austinites in here, maybe we ought to get together one of these days. I bought the 1805 tube beacuse I was running tight on coin but as soon as I can I will get the tub. I must say that I believe that the 1805 left my skin a little dry in comparison to Rose. Lubric...
