I once tried to go the ghetto route by dismantling a mach 3 cartridge and taping one of the blades to a thin stick. I figured I would shave the hair. I nearly sliced my nose right off. Now I use a scissors which works ok and refuse to put myself in danger or pain for the sake of vanity! After all, w...

This is disgusting. I've never done anything to my brush in 15 years! It works the same as it did the day I bought it, and I just had a physical and I'm A-OK (Dr's! pay them enough they'll say anything).

I most certainly will let them know especially since after being here for a few weeks I have a wish list that extends to eternity and back! Oils, creams, lotions, soaps.........who knew this stuff even existed? After today, I'm sure the banker will remind me that ignorance is bliss :D

Thanks for the recs. The shop seems to have a really wide range of products to choose ftom. As an aside, when I first happened upon the site, I was so mad. To myself: Look at this incredible store......what a selection of stuff to buy........why can't American stores carry all this cool shaving stuf...

Tim, that explains it. Nice bit of detective work, thanks. Now, I can see the reason for this if it is indeed deliberate. I said earlier that B&B is getting more new users, but this is not necessarily always desirable. It has been known for a while that more 'experts' reside on SMF. All I'm goi...

Weather and Blades

Following list knowledge, I've been changing the blade every week, but it just occurred to me that the blade might need to be changed more often given that its cold when I pick it up and then put it under hot water. Doesn't all that expanding and contracting have an effect on its usefulness?

I think I'll start with the Merkur blades that the Merkur HD comes with. You can do that, but the evaluation of the Merkur HD merits a better blade imo. The blade that ships with those razors havent recieved rave reviews. I keep reading the threads about the different blades and I notice how popula...

I'm with Jeff on this one. The way I shave my head, if I used a DE I would land up in the ER. One thing I have done since I started *really* shaving is using the 3 pass scheme on my head too. What a difference that has made. My head was quite smooth to begin with, but now.............throw mamma fro...

Rob you should not have a problem with the water evaporating with that Potpouri Device water does not start to evaporate untill after boiling point. If the water and lather do start to create steam then there is evaporation but it should not get so hot as to start steaming. But do give it a TRY and...
