Nathan, I'll echo Clive to say that I, too, am glad to see you here. Seeing you here more, as you suggest, would be even better! :)

Friend, I assume you are a vendor from your screen name. If this is a product you sell, you should only post about it in the Shopping forum.

Re: shaving experts please!/shaving in the shower

Welcome to SMF, donaldbathe! Your beard probably isn't completely dried out when you shave at the sink after your shower. I would splash your beard at the sink until you get it soaked again, then shave. Letting the lather sit on your beard a bit after lathering will also soften the beard. I don't kn...

Re: My Beloved Semogue 1305

Gary, the 2000 is a good brush, but it doesn't have the same bristle as the 1305 and the 830.

Re: eBay Sales Tax

I don't have a problem with Internet vendors charging sales tax for buyers in states that have it - it's only fair, really - but 10% across the board isn't right.

Thanks for passing this information along, John. I wasn't aware of it.

It looks good, Chris, and that served together with egg nog custard sounds like a wonderful combination.

Re: My Beloved Semogue 1305

Wendell, I extend to you my condolences. The 1305 is my favorite brush and I know you have really liked yours. Perhaps the main thing I have appreciated in this brush is the grade of boar bristle, as it is different from any other that I have experienced. Most others reminded me of straw, while this...

Re: Gillette Fatboy F-1 Restored (video)

Omar, that was impressive. I have never seen one of these razors disassembled, let alone undergo such a complete cleaning and replating.

When I started the video, I wasn't sure I wanted to watch such a long video, but it held my interest to the end. Good work!

However, if many do, it will be a major miscalculation of communication and effect by P&G/Gillette. Bi...

Re: Gillette Scores an own goal

I watched the ad twice, biased by Chris's statement of what he found obvious. Though I think it is somewhat open to interpretation and generalization, I did not see what the rest of you are seeing. I saw an ad highlighting issues that have been around for a long time, only recently demanding widespr...

Thanks for the review, Bill.

I have several synthetic shave brushes and I'm always interested to hear what else is out there, though I buy much less new shave equipment these days than I once did.
