Re: A blade Issue

simfil,

Please remind us of the other brand you are comparing these Tesco blades to.

Many members think the Tesco blades are quite superb.

I'm not saying he is the only one that has been corrupted. He is just another person that fits right in here with all of us already corrupted souls. He hasn't even been a member here for very long and has already turned into an enabler.

I know that some experienced members here (not just beginners) still like using the Gillette Tech. I still use my Tech with various blades. In fact, I have used mine for the last couple of days and I own a dozen various vintage Gillettes to include an Aristocrat #16, 'Coronation' #58, 'Fatboy', 58TV...

I second Tim's recommendation on the Alibaba. Resilient shafts with very soft tips that still give a nice scrub. I find the tips softer than my Duke 3, Best, which for me has a little scritch. Still, they're all nice choices. On second though, get them all. [/size] :D You definitely have been influ...

NTS, that newbie could have had a Canadian made Tech. I believe they were some of the more agressive ones... Like Gareth said above, I too have read that the Canadian 1932 Techs were more aggressive. Most other models/years, such as the '50s and '60s ball-end, are considered quite mild. Personally,...

 WOW!!! The only thing I can guess is that maybe they were bidding on the great condition of that cardboard packaging. Cardboard boxes like that are hard to come by considering it is probably 40 years old. With that said, I got one in similar condition (though box not quite as nice, close, bu...

If I ever tried that method on my face, they would have chop off what's left and sell it at the local butcher shop. I feel sorry for anyone who tried his way and found out how deficient it really is. Seriously, we need to organize a wetshaving DE intervention unit to fly in and set him straight . W...

Nathan,

Your razor looks like it is great condition. Someone should really take advantage of this deal. This style of Superspeed is a good benchmark to compare other razors to.

Good luck with your sale.

Tim, Let's put this into perspective for you...these are $0.03 per blade, Gillette 'Swedes' are at $0.76 per blade if you buy 50 from Westcoastshaving and that is the best going rate I have found for them. Like JB said, even if you only got 1 pass per blade that was decent, you have still made a hec...
