I now just got word at work that they want me to make a pork butt for our office party. They gave me the day off before just so I can cook it all day!!

My tip for cleaning the grates.....I usually do this before AND after I cook. Get a pretty good sized sheet of aluminum foil, lightly wad it up and use a long set of tongs to scrape the wad over your grates. Since it's wadded up lightly, it will contour to the rounded edges of the grates much easier...

I've been planning on smoking another butt for New Years, no matter how cold it is. I always enjoy BBQ'ing in the winter, it helps keep the beer cold.

Grind up an asprin and mix a few drops of water to it to form a paste. Put that on the offending problem. The asprin will help reduce any swelling and inflamation and will also ease the pain.
