He's been to receive his royal warrant. I tried ,but couldn't pass muster with only 600+ posts. He is so deserving to be hailed as H.R.T. Duke of Jersey!

Fiftch: I never doubted your word, only curious that they might be like the wooden candlesticks I have that says they were made from the original wood used in the the White House after it was burned in 1812 and rebuilt in 1927. I don't know if that is true or not but the sticker on the bottom says ...

Harper, I think both those pictured are the real deal. They appear to have had the letters of provenance accompanying them before they were acquired. Neat relics for certain! Hi Chris. Yes! I noticed you had already beat me to this JFK matter from earlier in the year. I stumbled on that thread durin...

I always liked their Almond Cold Cream toilet soap. The scent is really pleasant and no dye used. Pick-up some if you see next time at T.J. Maxx. Really nice in cooler weather as is approaching. The talc is special too.

Fitch, Fascinating. I'm thinking that the Hitler razor must be from Berlin as I believe the on at the Eagle's Nest was filched by one of the occupying American GIs...unless, of course, this is that one, that it surfaced again at a later date in some collection. And the early JFK razor is marked as ...

No problem guys. The Hitler Gillette set ,the German fellow say's; is in a German museum with a collection of effects of his. I can hunt-down that museum name if interested. The JFK set is in the possession of a Kennedy collector ,whom seems legit, but one never knows. These items seem to be just th...

Well, Valet razor has been mentioned for Churchill ,at least, during a certain period of his life. I've read ,on more than one occasion, that (both) Hitler & Mussolini had custom gold Gillette's made for them at the Boston factory. A little search has turned-up this photo ,from a fellow in Germany, ...

**WANT TO TRADE FOR AOS 'UN-SCENTED' SHAVING SOAP**

I've never tried AOS shave products. I just thought..if anyone has a couple of the un-scented refills they don't care for, I'll trade one pot of Taylor Almond cream/new + one refill of Trumpers violet soap. Or, I will trade two of the Trumper's for them.

Thanks,
Fitch

Ha Ha! I'm glad I got you to 'snag' on something there! That would've been during the golden age prior to t.v. coming into fore. They were from Des Moines and were known for their "Ideal" hair tonic and coconut oil shampoo. The Fitch bandwagon come to mind? They were quite the firm during that era f...

Thanks so kindly. Boy! Yes, that's how most of my tallow Trumpers are... as the violet one. A 'dull' matte gold sticker. I do have some tallow refills that have a shiny gold sticker as well. The packaging Trumpers would use is wildly varied. That sandalwood does not look current to me at all! It doe...

Really enjoyable. Only at S.M.F.

Thanks Squire for the 'prodding' and Harper for elaborating. Just one thought though. Old Spice or Seaforth shaving soap was no good during the war years? What town/state did you live during this period? Thanks sir!

Hi Andrew and thanks for reply. I am in no hurry for pics ,and certainly don't want to be the cause of a domestic episode...laugh. Let her use the computer for now! This is interesting though! Just noticed something else on the packaging that suggests the age of the pucks - the Violet and Limes packages don't sport a recycling logo. Just to put an even finer point on these Trumper variations. Would you be so kind as to show a photo. of the stickers that are affixed to the refills of Lime...

Gary, I don't. I never pursued nor tried the stuff. Although, it seems to be rated highly by a lot of men whom I respect here.

I lost a perfectly good credit rating ,and a mailbox, since joining-up....so I had to let some get away.

END OF AN ERA.....

I have for offer one remaining cake of Penhaligon's "Fern" with tallow still in cellophane box. Also, about 45 ml of a 100 ml bottle of the 'original' Harris milk in light rose scent. These are my last of both (so will) cost a bit. Both have been stored in a nice, dark temperture-controlled environm...

If you don't mind buying locally....."Wildroot" cream oil is good & no scent 'clash' problem. If you insist on mail ordering; then I'd go with "Trumpers" Lime hair cream.
