Possibly the problem with this batch, although it is so watery, I can't imagine age was the only culprit. FWIW, the member who received it from me also found it unusable.

Someone on another forum mentioned Em's, so I found a link and ordered one of her travel tubes. I also ordered this brush from Muehle-Pinsel: http://www.muehle-shaving.com/shop/_/special_offers/1/shaving_brush/1/23/81_H_72 I've admired it for awhile, and though shipping was more than the brush, I al...

Could you post a link to the stand? What's it made of? Could it be bent? Like your avatar, BTW. One of my favorite movies.

Good travel brush?

I'm looking for a good travel brush in best or silvertip badger. I like a tulip shape and medium size. It doesn't have to be made for travel, but it must come with a nice case for travel. Oh, and it can't be too soft. Suggestions?

Just as an aside to all this, but I know gents in the UK who seem to think that the Skin Food has also recently been altered, and not for the better. Definitely not the case here, as I have two bottles newer than the one in question. This bottle was so thin it rolled off your hand and had started t...

Rob, I am totally satisfied, and you have been a true gentlemen about this. I am disappointed in this bottle and don't plan to use it, but I hate to throw it away. It is a little dark, watery and does not lubricate like the Trumper's Limes I am used to, but it has some scent and lubrication. It's no...

What's the grit of those stones, and did you replace the scales yourself? How much did it cost you?

Dr. Moss, I've also decided to take the plunge, having ordered a trio of NOS Wapienicas, which are being detoured to a honer from SRP. I wondered if you were familiar with these razors and if they might be appropriate for a beginner.

Muhle-Pinsel Oakmoss and Mint

I am totally new to wet shaving. My wife gave me a Muhle-Pinsel shaving set, which included their soap with aloe. The fragrance is oakmoss and mint, which I really like. Is there an aftershave of similar fragrance (M-P doesn't make one)?

I had pretty good success this morning generating a thick lather. I put the bar back in its original jar and loaded my brush from the jar. I then created a fairly thick foam in the bowl (adding just a few sprinkles of water). I used the brush on my face to thicken things up even more and finished wi...

Thanks for the answers. I'll try building up the lather on my face instead of in the bowl and see how that works.
