Tecovas look good at a good price. Hand made in Mexico. Haven’t actually tried them.

Re: Shows I'm anticipating - new seasons coming soon???

I can only imagine how disruptive a film cew would be in a small village like that. Heck, they even challenge the patience of jaded New Yorkers.

brothers wrote:Jim, how would you rate these 2 books? I've been curious about them for quite a while now.
Both are very good, although I'm only about halfway through "A Legacy of Spies". They are fairly short pretty accessible among le Carré books, which can be a bit of a challenge.

Re: What are you reading?

"A Legacy of Spies" by John le Carré. I had to read "The Spy Who Came In From the Cold" first because the new book relates back to the events of the earlier one. Though I've read almost all of le Carré's works, i had strangely never read the one that really launched his career.

Unfortunately, it'll be here before we know it. Time passes quickly these days.

Re: Spare Wheels and Slime

Some of that canned stuff will eat up your wheels. It ruined the wheels on my boat trailer. I guess if the car manufacturer includes it, it's OK.

Re: A new or at least different car

My wife's first car was a 1964 Beetle, complete with 6v electrical system. I had to push it to start it in the morning, and then she parked it on a hill to get it to start coming home. Chris I had a car like that. A '64 Plymouth Valiant. The trouble was, the slant-6 engine was bulletproof. You coul...

Re: A new or at least different car

I still love the sound of those VW air-cooled engines on the rare occasions when I run across an original on the road. They had a very distinctive voice.

It is -- but the musical as good as it is, takes significant liberties with history.
You mean the founding fathers didn't actually speak in rap lyrics?

Re: Grateful dead off key?

I was never a huge fan, but I can enjoy their music at times. Lots of singers are often not right on key. I guess it's why they do so well live. Even their studio work has a spontaneous, live feel to it.
