Sad. Maybe she's just turning away from the bad memories.

Khan Academy

I just learned about it this week. Over 2,600 educational videos all free. http://www.khanacademy.org/#browse 8) Wikipedia story on Khan Academy and founder Salman Khan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khan_Acadamy When asked about his religion Salman Khan had this to say: If you believe in trying to m...

Jim, this is food for thought. In the beginning, I think the pyramid honing sequence was a helpful tool for me to be able to get the feel and the "sense" of the mysteries of what it takes to create and maintain an edge. Good point. That's the only other method I know of that advocates cycling back ...

Chris, I wonder if this works on the same theme as the "pyramid" I've seen around. I never got anywhere with it, but I wonder at the idea. Perhaps the polishing action from the higher grit stones, makes it more effective for the 8K when you drop back down? I tried it, and I could tell there was an ...

I'll be finishing up Battlefield Earth tonight or tomorrow night. Fantastic scifi story. Just great! Thanks for the tip. I looked far it today in the sifi section at the local used book store. They have thousands of books but not that one. The owner was familiar with the book and apologized. (She s...

I did the remainder of the Friodurs - using just 12 strokes/6 passes on the 8k, 15k and 30k. No pastes. I'm like a pig in shit. So smooth and sharp. Uhhh, what? You mean you double honed except only using 6 passes on each hone and only using three hones? Please Chris, be more explicit. We all want ...

Chris, I've got a couple that seem to need refreshing, so I'll try it your way and see how well it works with my hones (no Shaptons). I have a feeling it'll be very good, and will try to remember to come back and post my findings. Same here. I'll try this. Now I'm patiently waiting for something to...

See that's the thing. I don't view Bill Black's interview as partisan politics. Otherwise, I would not have bothered to post this. He's not attacking parties and candidates. He's attacking fraud.

Re: More manly - is it Tabac or Cella?

I’m for the scent of Tabac being the more masculine of the two. In the same vein Speick too is masculine in scent. Am I alone? Or are there other ones masculine too? I say Tabac by just a tad. Wife says Tabac cuz Cella has a sweet scent. It's a harmless question. No reason to feel threatened.

I like him because he has a simple creed, "fraud is wrong and should be stopped!"

He wants to put us back on the path of truth and honesty. Meanwhile, most of our leaders have sold out to the idea that to survive we must look the other way.

Thanks for the feedback. I've used both of these bar soaps. The blue-label Manantiales had an artisan character that I liked back when I last used it many years ago. The red-label LaToja is nice, but more mundane. I have been using it for a while now having bought about 150 bars from an importer a f...

Wow, the Wikipedia reviews of the book are scathing. Sounds like a tough one to read.

La Toja Jabón Sales Minerales

I've been trying to locate a practical source for this bar soap. Anyone have any ideas. I see it on a few Spanish sites but I don't think they ship to USA. Twenty years ago I could find it locally in Houston. Jabón De Sales Termales http://i43.tinypic.com/2ni1z48.jpg It is a La Toja product, but not...
