It's a sad thing. Sometimes these types have enablers. Like a mother or grandmother that will never ever deny them. All the enabler gets in return is heartache!

Yep, I know of a few cases of this. For one, a destitute mother that worked three minimum wage jobs so her daughter could live like a princess instead of a pauper. The mother working herself sick while the daughter only clamoured for more tribute. Never any gratitude. The daughter grew up, but never...

And when you stop and think about it
You won't believe it's true
That all the love you've been giving
Has all been meant for you

When it comes to binary, there are 10 kinds of people. Those that get it and those that don't.

That should do nicely. It is a well known quality brand.

There seems to have been a certain period of time when metal bolster caps were in fashion. I'm not sure when that was, but I'll guess it was in the 1920's. Anyone have a better idea?

Yea, another convert. 8)

It's a very complicated process.

 Here is a quick summary:
1. Rub blade on stone.
2. Rub blade on leather.
3. Rub blade on face.

He's my kindred spirit. I too have felt the thrill and exhilaration of the long soar with the wind rushing by while my eyes scan the horizon beneath spread wings. So I know how it feels! (Of course in my case I was a 10-year-old with a long 1x6 board across the handlebars of my bicycle.)

I had never heard of these white squirrels in Florida before. We were camped at Ochlockonee River State Park one winter and the other campers told us to watch for the white squirrels. Sure enough we saw several. Very strange.

Here is an Indigo Bunting photo from the same Easter weekend as the photo above.

According to my fieldguide, a Blue Bunting in NS would be almost like seeing a unicorn. No wonder there was a crowd.

Nice photo and nice razor.

OK, what is the lavender tube in the foreground, and what is that black round thing next to it?

The Painted Bunting - Easter 2001

I just came across this photo on my computer so I wanted to share it and the story on the forum. We were visiting a friend at his farm in East Texas. It was Easter weekend in 2001. An ornithologist bands birds at the farm every spring, and we were out that day helping collect the birds from the mist...

Welcome to SMF!

I had trouble getting in myself a few years back. I had to email Dr. Moss and get help.

It looks like the interchangeable scales can be had for $25 regardless of the material choice. That seems like a bargain if I'm reading their page correctly.
