Agreed. If I recall correctly, there are similarities between RG & Pens Racquets. Pens has the spicy masculine powder notes... minus the anise.

Both very good frags.

Re: Taylors Sandalwood Cream - Scent

Squire, Based upon recently bought Taylor creams that I've tried I suspect it would work just fine. The OP seems to be saying that he found the scents of the Sandalwood and Lemon/Lime cream to be lighter than he remembered them (?). I dunno know...the more recent Harris's hard soaps seem way more l...

Taylors Sandalwood Cream - Scent

I recall reading a post some time ago regarding the fragrance variances in Taylors' creams. I was in a store yesterday that carries a decent amount of Taylors products, so I thought I would check out the Sandalwood. Definitely, a completely different scent. Way lighter and only a faint Sandalwood sc...

Billy Jealousy?!? Sounds like some "metrosexual" product sold in salons where guys go for hair frosting and tanning sessions.

No way plain jane post 99 Vette. Make RED and you take the plain jane out of it. :D Haha, indeed. Where I was going with it was that I lust for a post '99 Vette, but not any of the "specials" (i.e. Z06, etc.). Just a stock, straight up Vette. One other request ... stick shift. Love me some manual t...

Politically, the US auto maker issue is a double-edged sword. Provide these 3 companies massive tax funded breaks/hand-outs and they employ thousands of North Americans - directly or indirectly. Dismiss these breaks and there is no sane financial reason to keep the doors open on a single North Amer...

I think many people still perceive Linux as some way-out system that requires advanced technical skills to operate.

Ubuntu was simple to install and took little time to get used to.

Much less time than it took to figure out Windows 8 and uninstall it.

I will dance in the streets the day the bloated Windows OS is universally replaced in favour of another operating system. That day may not be too far when the world of tablets becomes more appealing to the masses versus PC's. I recently installed Ubuntu (Linux) on an old laptop for the kids. I can't...

Trumpers, T&H, TOBS... I wish I could have tried these shaving soaps & creams at their finest.

As I remain a loyal fan of DR Harris soaps and to a lesser extent creams, I am curious to know from the elders here; how has the DRH brand held up over the years? Have their products declined too?

I haven't experienced a Trumper's soap that has performed even close to a minimal baseline - even as a hand soap. I have previously garbaged several GFT soaps.

There are too many other good soaps on the market to be messing around with substandard soap in fancy packaging.

Michael: Thanks for your reply. I value your suggestions since I can't seem to find a single "new" fragrance that develops into a compelling dry-down that I enjoy. To my inexperienced nose, the new frags do not seem to evolve upon application. The scent out of the bottle is the same scent after an h...
