After I whip up the lather in my bowl, I place it in the sink which is full of hot water. I then place my brush in the bowl and it keeps everything nice and warm for my later passes.
Wouldn't the bowl just float and then tip over with the weight of the brush?

Help

I'm new to this premium shaving thing, my first DE arrived a month ago and now I find myself buying more and more stuff. At first the excuse to my wife was "DE blades are cheaper!, I going to save money in the long run!" Then I purchased a fine brush and matching (expensive) stand for my Merkur Futu...

I have a maximum threshold of 2 (maybe 3) passes on my neck and then all hell breaks loose (redness, burns, bumps). No matter what I do there is always visible stubble in those pits on your neck (the places beside your apple). My neck whiskers generally grow from my adams apple to my ears, but there...

I wonder if those plug in mug warmers you use at the office to keep your coffee warm would be any good? Maybe if you turn it on before your shower and it would be good and warm by the time you shave.

Someone needs to invent a small bathroom microwave. I'm not running down to the kitchen to warm up my shaving bowl. My wive already thinks i'm crazy with my shaving rituals.

Shipping kind of kills (or at least cools it down) the deal for us Americans unless we place a large order. $7.95CAD plus $1.95CAD for each item. Two tubs and two tubes came to around $70CAD, or $59.50USD. Still not a bad deal, though. Thats funny in a way. Being in Canada, nearly everything intere...

Florena is great if you don't have a brush handy (i.e, when traveling). I find you just need to apply it once and just keep adding water to your face and it just keeps lubricating.

I enjoy Twinings Earl Grey steeped for 5 minutes, with a few slices of lemon added once brewed. If you must sweeten it, add some honey. Very nice.

I bought an iMac G5 back in February and I love it. I was a big Linux fan, but I found I spent most of my time installing bleeding edge software and breaking the system constantly, and as a result spend hours fixing it. The Mac just works. I loved it so much I bought a 12" Powerbook, now I surf the ...

Marmite on good quality lightly toasted rye with some sharp cheese.

Marmite, it grabs your tastebuds and gives them a good shake.

I found a place that carries some (but not all) Taylor stuff in Canada. Most importantly it has the Avocado shaving cream that I wanted to try. Now the interesting part: its a womens spa site: http://www.julietsdayspa.com/ I ordered a tub of the Avocado Shave cream, it was a decent price actually: $...

Retailers in Canada

I'm relatively new to this world of premium shaving and I was wondering if anybody can recommend some good online Canadian retailers that carry a full line of Taylor products (for example). I have ordered some stuff from Classic Shaving in the past, but it is expensive to get this stuff accross the ...
