Re: Intensity of Scent - Castle Forbes and Truefitt & Hill CREAMS

You only mention two brands, but I would recommend that you get a sample (if there is such a thing) of Art Of Shaving Unscented shaving cream. The AOS creams are well known for their great performance. The now-discontinued (I think) XPEC unscented. It was completely void of any fragrance and was wel...

Re: Castle Forbes Cedarwood & Sandalwood Shaving Cream

I'm about 1/3 through my most recently opened tub of CF C&S cream. It'll be the third complete tub I've used up. I load the brush directly on the cream (hardened somewhat by leaving the lid off the jar intentionally) for about 8 to 10 seconds with a little bit of water, about 1.5 to 2 TBSP. Makes a ...

Re: Face masks

There is a new medical suggestion that the COVID-19 uses "aerosol transmission" to spread as far as 25 feet. Proponents emphasize the importance of masks when others are nearby. Barry, your battle with ongoing health issues is courageous. You are doing your best. Prayers are going out for you. Stay ...

Which do you prefer, the tieback model or the elastic over the year model Sam, when we created our masks and started wearing them about 8 or 9 weeks ago we used large elastic pony tail holders to loop around the ears. This is my wife. https://i.postimg.cc/bGdxD4V1/Masks.jpg Here's my 95 yr old Mom ...

Re: What's for supper?

Perhaps it would be possible to smuggle you some beef - maybe in an unmarked package or label it prominently as shaving accessories? Surely there is a way to keep it frozen. What would Canadian Post think? :D Where there's a will, there's usually a way!

Sudoku anyone?

I'm just a beginner but I've begun to enjoy it. Does anyone have some tips that might make it somewhat easier for a rookie to understand? I do understand the objective of the game, but it seems to be much more challenging than it was at first glance.

Re: The Science of Sharp Blog

Recently, there have been several excellent posts in this forum by Chris (drmoss_ca). Reading them has awakened a craving for some opportunity to use my own straight razors. Maybe I'll post about it if it happens.

Re: A Cook's Diary

Oh yes. I've had pretty good luck with the premixed Louisiana brand gumbo base. We add sausage and chicken and serve it over rice. Quick and delicious.

Enjoy your mask as you parade around on your high horse Tim. I'm finished with this debate. My opinion is unchanged and unchallenged.

Re: Face masks

As one might notice, I and large numbers of others are beside ourselves with the "new normal" that seems to have upended our universe. As I said elsewhere, it's not just me, it's millions of others worldwide. One tends to feel that there are a lot of simplistic do-gooders finding they might have a b...

There was another event today, but my favorites didn't fare very well. Oh well, at least they're racing (sans spectators). The next Championship Series race will be next Sunday, the 7th. Better luck for my favorite drivers next time, perhaps.

. . . . I would still rather not have a handgun for such a once in a lifetime event - a shotgun would be far preferable and way more effective. . . . . Are you sure you want to carry the burden of wearing lethal force and what you might do with it? That's a Canadian viewpoint, not a judgement. You ...

I was looking at my razors just this afternoon, and I admit to owning 2 or 3 old razors that must have caught my eye at a flea market somewhere. Seeing those razors made me realize I have no idea why I would have bought it.

We found some rib eye steaks in the freezer. Our youngest daughter is coming over for supper and it's going to be a good one. I'm lighting my fire in the 41 year old "big green egg" now.

Re: Face masks

Bryan, I'm with you, but sticking it to the evil big government seems preferable to concern for others in me-first America. Covid-19 is real, masks actually help protect those around you, and not wearing one is no great demonstration of liberty but rather a perfect embodiment of me-first ideology. ...
