Very woody, like sandalwood EO without other scents; not "sweet" like, for instance, AOS sandalwood EDT

Buzz, I have a M+F brush with a horn handle that is over 6 months old, which I realize isn't very long. But about once a month, I apply some jojoba oil, let it sit overnight, then wipe off the excess. So far, it still looks like new, and I hope that the oil applications will keep it from ever becomi...

I feel obliged to say, after my not-so-positive comments earlier in this thread, that this has become a favorite brush. The handle is more ergonomic than any other style in my collection, and the badger has broken in to an excellent latherer, with very pleasing face feel.

It's interesting that at least two of your top five are tallow soaps. Are you able to compare these new soaps to vintage Yardley soap? Would you include Yardley in a top five?

It is a nice brush, but for the same price one can have two real horn handled blond badger Morris and Forndran brushes. The M7 handle is very ergonomic, an ideal size and weight. The badger bristle reminds me of the Rooney emillion, but not as densely packed. But the M7 pales in comparison to the M+...

The scent is, well, rose. Very much like Trumper's rose soap. Mild, not overpowering.

Vulfix English Rose Cream

This is a lightly colored (pale pink) very soft cream with a mild rose scent. It is softer than most creams; the accompanying instructions say to load the brush by dipping into the pot. I have yet to load a small enough amount to avoiding wasting much left over lather after 3-4 passes; a very small ...

If this is the original aftershave milk, not the reformulated thicker balm, I'll take it.

My first 2-band Grosvenor began shedding so badly that I returned it to Phil (Bullgoose) who kindly credited me the full purchase price. I now have one of the second batch. It has the same properties as the first: 2 band hair, not too densely packed, soft on the face, makes copious lather. The knot ...

Phil,
From measurements it looks like the knots in the Ehsan and CH1 are almost the same (23x47 vs 23 x 46). Is there much difference in shape or density to account for the difference in cost?

Thanks,
Stan
