Luminox watches are illuminated by tritium-filled tubes. They are very bright, and do NOT need light exposure to glow. I have had one for several years, and can recommend the brand.

Squire,

That's too bad. I haven't been there for several years, but I remember having those ice cold oysters just a few hours out of the ocean, served on that stainless steel countertop. Nothing like it anywhere else.

When these first became available, I bought the box of six (3 scents, 2 each). Unfortunately, all of them had a strong musty wet basement odor, although they lathered well and worked ok. I did email the vendor about that, but received no reply.

Mine shed a bit at first, too, but stopped. As did the 90th anniv. Astor.

The best of the 2-bands?

There has been a spate of new 2-band brushes from Simpson and Vulfix. Probably compelled by consumer demand, these brushes are very tightly packed with 2 band badger. As a result of this tight packing, lather-making seems to suffer. Along comes the Grosvenor in two band, specially made by Vulfix for...

Received my 6 pots. A little dehydrated, but cream can still be easily scooped with finger or implement. BUT, all 6 have a musty, moldy basement smell that almost obscures the scent. Hoewever, the cream still lathers wonderfully, and shaves extremely well. Just an off-putting smell. Shipping was pro...

Dehydrated tubs seem to me a non-problem. Use them like soaps: load the brush by swirling directly on the hardened cream, just as would be done with a soap, then build lather either on face or scuttle.

For the 6 tubs, the total cost in USD including shipping is about $97, or $16 per tub. Very reasonable.

Gordon,
The last brush I recall your reviewing so positively was the B+B 2008 LE. How would you compare the two?
