Has anyone ever tried using straight glycerin as a pre-shave or barrier, like Ren describes? Is there some reason you wouldn't want to?

I mean, as cheap as Nivea is, glycerin is a little less, I would think. I may have to grab a bottle next time I hit Walgreen's for tobacco.

Thanks, fellows. I may buy one or two brushes before this one wears out, but I really don't think I'll be going on the acquiring binges some of you guys seem to be able to maintain. I do want to find the best possible cream for me, so that will take some experimentation, but I hope to settle on some...

Tube Crimper!

Now that I am buying cream in tubes, I'm going to need one of those. We use them at work on all kinds of cremes and salves and lube and things. They work great. I bet I can get one through the clinic for less than $5.
