I'm not one for much bling, so I bought a 1950's Hamilton railroad pocket watch. 992B model. The thing is accurate to a couple of minutes/ month! I wind it when I check the time. It's about the size of a silver dollar. People often make nice comments about it.

My old pocket watch is gold filled. It has some kind of durable base metal with a sheet of gold layered on top and bottom. Gold plating would be much thinner.
