Thanks to judge mental, I'm now getting a Stubby 2XL. But I do still need a Polo. I need it.

I seem to forget each time how fabulous my Rooney Finest is until the next time I use it.

Becker Scuttle
Rooney 1/2 Finest
T&H 1805 Cream
Gillette 1959 Fat Boy with IP (but a Pils is on the way!)
T&H AS Balm

That's strange. My 2-band CH3 has a very sharp line demarcating the white and black areas, as do my Plisson and Rooney Finest.

Vulfix

Now that I'm expanding my Simpsons brush collection, I've also gotten interested in the Vulfix brushes. I'm interested in which of them you think are the absolute best (I realize YMMV) and which are the most collectible. Ideas? Thanks.

Any further word on the TI brushes? I've gotten interested lately, especially in the "newer," denser ones.

When I was in med school we didn't get to keep the skeletons. The cadavers were used once and gone. But occasionally a student would abscond with a bone to use as a paperweight or to impress a girlfriend. I saw a couple that were decorated with paint, but I never saw any that were scrimshawed.

Too frivolous for the shaving brush section

I was just wondering if anyone here has ever seen a scrimshaw shaving brush, either ivory or bone. Or better yet, does anyone HAVE one?....

Oops. I used the Renaissance Wax on a Plisson horn handle, and it left a foggy residue that obscures the horn pattern and won't buff off. I guess I'll let it "cure" for a few days, and then try to buff again. Darn.

Some of the woods, especially the reddish ones, look like they'd be really pretty with 2-Band Super bristles for contrast.

Australian Silvertip Brushes

I'm just curious about the brushes I've seen on the auction site that are handmade from exotic woods and silvertip badger. The selling prices, although not really low, are not outrageous either, especially when compared to other artisan brushes. Does anyone here have any first-hand experience with t...

I understand your reservations, and you clearly have a lot more experience than I do, but I too would recommend giving it a little more time, some more tries, before deciding what you really think of it. I've found that my opinion about a new brush does sometimes change with repeated uses.
