A reviewer on a retail site said: "Giving it a neutral strictly for compostion, it would be a thumbs down on wearability. Kind of a funky lemon meets Halls cough drops kind of scent. Could not think of a proper time to wear this beside being home in bed with bronchitis!" Then why is it so popular? (...

WTB: Black Horn Brush

I'd like to buy a 3-band or 2-band brush with a real black horn handle (e.g. Rooney, Sabini). Please PM me if you have one to sell. Thanks in advance.

Also, I'm still looking for a Heritage Emillion, a Stubby 1XL or 2XL, and a Polo 8 or 10 in Super.

I think I'd keep my Chubby 3 Manchurian. There's nothing else quite like it.

Chubby 2 Best

I actually won that Chubby 2 in Best. I'm looking forward to comparing its various qualities to those of my Chubby 3 Manchurian and Chubby 3 Super, both of which are dense and neither of which is really scritchy.

Plisson Beehive

Yes, congratulations, Aaron. The reason I wrote to Vikim was because the brush intrigued me. When they first wrote back, they asked for a link, apparently thinking some commercial dealer was infringing on the name. But when I sent the link to the Bay listing, there was no further reply from them at ...

Plisson Beehive?

What was called a "very rare Plisson Beehive" brush in 2-band (EW) just sold on the Bay for $202.50. (See image.) I had questioned the seller about its provenance, noting that it said "pure badger" in English, and he replied that it had been owned by an old lady who used it for makeup and that he ha...

Sensitive skin

A lot of aftershaves and especially colognes and EdTs eventually cause my skin to get red and itchy and broken out, so that I have to stop using them. One example is Acqua di Parma EdT, which did this after about half a dozen uses recently. However, I've had no trouble at all with Floris or TOBS. I ...

I just noticed that on the auction site is a listing for a Walther brush, apparently synthetic. Does anyone know anything about these? Same company that makes pistols? Thanks.

So am I correct in assuming that a Somerset Simpsons brush just means one that was made between 1941 and 2008? Thanks, everybody.
