ive also stayed at places with hard water and had the feeling that i just couldnt wash the shampoo out of my hair(really weird feeling), that said, higher water pressure does make a big difference for me, it may be largely mental now but it also makes sense on a basic level- the harder the blast of ...

bath and body works and crabtree and eveylyn are two american companies that offer good shaving creams from everything ive heard. Art of shaving is another though it's pricier.

the soaps from classicshaving.com are also good and Col Conk soaps are pretty good as well.

i got the same samples... what were your overall impressions of the aftershave balm? i'm not sure i liked it, didnt really do much for me though it's the first balm ive tried (outside the american crew sample), apples and oranges but i prefer my proraso splash by a wide margin.

i'll tell you that i much prefer high water pressure in the shower, i remember back in college the water pressure was (to me) abnormally high, really felt like it was crashing in to the skin, after a month it was the best thing going, now a low pressure shower (some hotels etc) just seems to strike ...

did it effect the performance of the soap or was there just no real change in scent?

being that the conk soaps are cheap and the sample of cologne was free i have no issue experimenting but if it's going to ruin the soap i might think twice

Blending a cologne sample with soap?

I've got a cake of Col conk lime and a sample of T&H west indes limes cologne and the soap doesnt strike me as very strong and i dont really like the T&H limes as a cologne. could i melt down the soap and add some or all of the cologne to boost the scent of the soap?

thanks for the replys, does anyone own two or all of these brush brands that could comment on how soft they feel against the face or how much water they retain in comparison to each other?

Trying to pick a new brush

I've been browsing this forum for a while and since I'm now considering getting a better brush i figured it was a good time to stop lurking and write a post. For a little background i have not been wet shaving very long at all but I've enjoyed everything about it so far and i have a merkur HD and a ...
