Wyatt Earp wrote:So David, will you ask him next time for a full straight razor shave?
Sure will. He gives them at his shop. He seems pretty good with a straight, and uses one himself. But he had no idea about this huge shaving community we all enjoy.

I think I got us a convert...

Well a new barber shop opened up in my humble little town, and because I'm tired of my local buzz cut factory, I stopped in. I had met the barber a time or two before at a cigar shop I frequent where he told me of his impending opening. While he was giving me a cut (which was a damn fine haircut com...

I was using some Tom's the other day and as I was shaving, my mind kept going to how wonderful it smelled. I kept lathering my face, working it in, and suddenly though, "Hey, if it smells this good, I wonder how it tastes..."

Don't ever taste your Tom's... Just trust me on that one.

I love the smell of my Proraso.

Sometimes, late at night, when I pass by the bathroom on the way to kitchen for a glass of water, I stop in an take a big whiff of the beautiful green fairy.

About all I can do is reiterate what has already been said. Gio's a great guy, and a pleasure to do business with. If you haven't ordered from him yet, you should.

I Keep Learning New Stuff

It seems about every month or so I learn something new, and I my level of shaving experience jumps tremendously. First it was that my technique was all wrong. Then I conquered the angle. Then I figured out my lather was too dry. I thought I had gotten it, and that the little bit of razor burn on my ...

I tried this wine and enjoyed it. I tasted subtle hints of leather and steel on the palate. To the nose I detected hints of Mitchell's Wool Fat, and Valobra shave stick with a baby butt smooth finish. I've noticed that it was subtle, yet aggressive. You could kind of adjust the aggressiveness up at...

Hey, you can never go wrong with a $20 factory seconds basket pipe. I have a few of those. In fact, I've only got one "nice" pipe. Just make sure and inspect it first. I've picked up a few that shouldn't have been even sold. But I'm more of a cigar guy anyway. I just dabble in pipery. This...

Get your tobacco at a real tobacconist, though; I wouldn't trust the drugstore inventory for freshness. Go ahead and get some sweet aromatic blends if you're interested; there are a lot of great boozy, fruity, caramel-ly mixes that are beginner friendly. Real men start out with Dunhill Royal Yacht....

I haven't taken a math class in three years. But, when I did, and back in high school, the standard was a Ti-83 Plus. They might have better ones now, but I don't know. I've still got mine. It's so easy to use. Although, now all I do with it is balance the old checkbook. Shoot your professor an e-ma...

It's true. Ladies love Afta. Old Spice too. And Aqua Velva. As long as you don't tell them what it is. Then they think you're a stinky old man. But if they just smell it, they usually like it.
