The best tip I got from this forum about proper blade angle has to do with sound rather than the position of the hand, arm, wrist, razor. I read and it was seconded by a lot of the experience guys in here that when you hear the razor cutting the beard you have the right angle. I don't worry about 30...

Anybody out there ever try talking when they were shaving, especially the chin area. Talking about faking the shave, that just proves it. Awfully dangerous to have one's chin moving whilst making a pass across it with a DE.

I've used them for a total of 5 shaves. Three in my HD and two in my FB. I find them to work very well for me. No dragging yet, haven't even nicked myself in almost a week. I like them very much.

Ben, Where can I find out more about the speedshaving technique? Would like to see how it goes so that at some future time when I have my own technique down fairly pat and I have decided on what will be my everyday blade(s) I can give it a try. OK Ben, your theory may work but for me it is a lot of bother to take the blade out and let it lying around someplace where I most likely will cut myself on it. The blades I am using now (Derby Extra or the Crystal) will not cost nearly as much as the Fusion cartridges I was using. So getting 4-5 sh...

Michael, I sure like your concoction. Not going to waiver from using it either. Unless my wife likes is too much and uses it up. And as you say, it is a lot cheaper. I don't need the absolute best stuff cause what you concocted does the job very nicely for me. Oh yeah, gonna try it in cooking someti...

Gents- My dear heart is a great fan of patchouli. Can anyone offer some suggestions for a quality scent that has strong patchouli elements without being overpowering? Thanks If you are looking for a shave cream I just found SCS's Smoke & Beads. Check it out at this link: http://tinyurl.com/348g...

Just finished with them in my HD and my '58 Executive. I thought they did pretty well in the Executive but only fair in the HD.

Will most likely keep some on hand for the Executive but still looking for a blade for the HD.

The only two things that can be said to be true about wet shaving is that "ymmv" and "it depends." I wouldn't worry about whether your beard gets thicker or not over time. Some people will tell you that the concept of facial hair becoming thicker due to shaving is a wives tale. ...

You're welcome. Your wife might also find the oil mix nice for shaving her legs. And I do feel as though that mix is good for my skin. To my surprise my "bride" as I call her (we've got 36 years in the books and they have been wonderful years) was excited to give your concoction a try the...

Just finished a couple Derby's. One each in my HD and my FB. Got like 4 shaves before it started to pull a bit. Will say they are about 500% better than the Merkur blades. I have just begun with the Crystal (Israeli Persona Bladed) today in my HD. I did get by with 3 passes and an oil pass with the ...
