I started with a short-handled GA and immediately missed the long handle of my old Sensor. I fixed that by getting a long-handled GA. I just like letting the longer handle add a little weight to the blade. I haven't gone back to the short-handle.

Hey, I finally get to contribute something here after soaking up the collective knowledge for a couple of months! I started wet-shaving with Nancy Boy shave cream. Once I got used to the scent, I liked it a lot. Seems to perform very well and I got my first BBS shave with it a week or two ago. But m...

It's food. It's cooked safely (the flying-knife stuff, not the sushi, most of which is not cooked). You won't die (from either the food or the flying knives). But if you live in an area big enough to keep a Benihana in business, there is -- almost without question -- better Japanese food to be had i...

I usually have mine set at 3, though sometimes I will move it to 4 (bad habit I'm trying to break). I'm trying to minimize variables as I learn. Same shaver, same cream (Nancy Boy), different blades (bought a sampler from John). I don't need to mess around with anything else right now.

the stores have to be different becuase the TJ's I have visited look like the vikings from the Capital One commercial just ransacked the store. The "employees" look at me weird when I ask for the products...by their reactions I know they have never heard of the C&E brand. TJMaxx doesn...

Congratulations, Ben. Just hide the smug look that comes over us folks who have to fill up only once every three or four weeks! :)

I handle in-house software capacity and performance testing for a multinational manufacturing company. It's nothing I ever would have seen myself doing based on a college journalism degree (and a chemistry minor), but I do it and I like it. If there were no bills to pay, though, I'd find a job where...

Delurking and diving in

Courtesy of the fine advice on this board, I just enjoyed (!) my first wetshave. No blood was shed. And I'm looking forward to the next time I shave, for the first time since I was 15... As I shaved, however, a couple of things occurred to me that I do not recall reading in other posts to us newbs. ...
