Goop in a can does a decent job.
The enjoyment of the brush and good cream/soap is a big part of this pursuit, but some days I don't have the time or energy to spend on prep.
It does get that hectic...

I think it is having to do now with the contours of my face and perhaps my newly acquired jowls, lol. Seriously, under the chin, seems like a crease has formed that looks almost like a scar if I sorta contort my face This morning, I did not use the slant bar at all and used the Gillette disposable ...

Re: What are long lasting current blades of of good quality?
And quality blades available these days? I shaved today an 8th really good shave with my Iridium Super blade. My skin on winter months is such tender that i seldom shave 2 days in a row, but buzz with an electric shaver. But an 8th shave despite having more to shave than if wetshaving everyday. Not...

Re: Suit Jacket length
So the suits I have are all 40R.. I'm going to purchase a few jackets from Express while they're on sale and was wondering if you guys think this model is wearing a short or regular length.. I'm guessing it's a short and now I'm wondering if it's more stylish to be wearing a short.. What do you guy...

I am one who tried and found the Bics to be nearly unusable for my particular expectations. Funny how what works for one probably won't work as well or as poorly for the next guy. I thought these are the same basic stainless steel Personna blades but with hospital/medical stamped on them. Which has...

Re: Vision Cleaning Question
Hello, A month into using the Vision since acquiring it has been great. I wanted to ask some of you experienced Vision users about cleaning it. I really don't want to get into buying a sonic cleaner or something along those lines which I believe I've read about here. I get the part about taking the...

Re: Futur and Progress
Does the Futur give "better" shaves than the Progress? Smoother or closer? I know a lot depends on the adjustment, but I'm looking for a very close shave that isn't harsh on the skin. The Futur is a far more aggressive razor than the Progress. If your concern is for the level of harshness...

See now I'm just the opposite. I have the Futur and Vision and they are both fine products. I, however give the edge to the Vision due to the longer handle and the knob on the end that helps with the grip and prevents slipping. Now to add some mud. I have gone through 2 blades (about 12 shaves) on ...

warning, if you try a slant, your chatsworth might be effectively retired :D +1 Eric, the slant is truly an amazing razor especially for those with the so called tough beards. Pair it with a feather and have a truly amazing shave Just went back to this beast of a combination this week after a few y...

Just to add to this I had my 4th shave with a Polsilver Iridium today. I won't push it any farther as I usually change blades after the second use but they appear to be well built smooth modern blades. Max If I skip a day of shaving it seems the Iridium is punishing me, and it takes a few days to g...

You've got a point. I guess I could get it out of the bowl with my fingers and put it back in the tub. Otherwise it goes down the drain, but fortunately I don't have any blobs to deal with when I just swirl on the cream. Sometimes a cream hardens and I treat it like a soap. Are you sharing your bow...

Squire, it's so thick when I scoop out a bit and put it in a lather bowl there's usually a blob of the product that doesn't fully disolve into the brush, causing a waste of product. I've tried smooshing the little blob around the bottom or inside of the lather bowl with my finger or thumb, but even...

Whereas I've enjoyed GoT more or less so far, I hate the author's penchant for killing off main characters. When Ned Stark was beheaded near the end of the first season, that was a jump-the-shark shock that almost made me abandon the series. The author of the books seems to me to consciously knock ...

Re: Lance Gives Up His Fight .... with USADA
So -- while I am still kinda reeling from this. I am not sure which I am more bothered by --- Lance simply giving up (not like him at all, based on previous history) or whether there was an actual witch hunt by the USADA. What interests me is that Le Tour isn't stripping him of his titles -- the US...
