The 3-1 is a great handle for me, right size and easy to hold. The 1-1 is also great but not quite as manageable as the 3-1.

I guess its a ymmv thing there. Having owned all of those, the 3-1 was as good or better than any of them for me, at less cost.

Great price for a great brush, good luck with the sale.

Some evenings after a long day the DE is just easier but it takes the same 15 minutes that I use with the straight.

Folks just come by, pick up whatever that want, whole wheat flour, corn meal or grits and leave the money in his 'honor' box. Mr. Siple told me he's never been cheated. Warms the heart to know there are still places this works, nice. The go to knives on my shelf are Benchmades, also have an Ontario...

Taylor of Old Bond Street.
It was the first cream I ever used (older formulation) and I truly miss it.

Responses are in line with what I thought. It would be great to have a Vulfix on the shelf but the softness doesnt work for my preferences. I was wondering if they had added anything new to the Vulfix line up, besides the Simpson models, that might have more scrub.

Thanks for the replies.

Recomendations for Vulfix similar to Rooney?

Hello All, After several years of not having a Vulfix I am thinking of trying one again. Their quality was never a question (top notch) but I preferred the denseness and scrub of the smaller Rooney Supers. Is there a Vulfix out there that would come close to the feel of a Rooney 1-1 Super? My prefer...

Years ago. It was a functional soap but compared to the others (Tabac, MWF, DR Harris etc) I couldnt go back to it. Could be an entirely different soap these days.

Agreed. Keeping it light is the best thing, especially in an office environment. No re app for me.

Better a smile than a frown, but Ive found the regular straight edges to work best from both a honing and shaving reference overall.

Another thumbs up for Bullgoose, the man has become a go to for various shaving items, great communication and prompt shipping.
Also had a recent transaction with Raffijian, prompt payment, good communication.
Wish the transactions at the office were as smooth as the ones here.

They may have kept the formula intact, maybe the plastic doesnt preserve it as well as glass. These older bottles just seem to have more 'bite' if that makes any sense.

It did, imo. I bought a plastic bottle of AV for travel and used it a few weeks ago, milder than the glass bottle versions by quite a margin.
