Every time I use my Apple watch to answer a call I think of the old Dick Tracy comic strip with his "wrist radio"
But I do like the watch overall.

Re: SilkSmoke and SynBad synthetics
How timely! I bought a SilkSmoke brush a very short while ago. I have about 10 shaves under my belt with it - and was just thinking about a thread to discuss my initial thoughts. I find the brush (knot and handle it came in) very large, and very soft. The website states that the knot has been update...

Trumper's Skin Food
I was trolling West Coast Shaving's website just now - and saw something new (to me, at least). I knew Skin Food had the scents of sandalwood and coral. I thought there was a lime scent (WCS didn't show it, not sure one way or the other). BUT - I had never seen SF with the scents of Eucris or Englis...

Re: Where is Everybody?!
We don't seem to have quite as many topics being raised concerning things like angle of the head for smooth shaving, or which scent is best, etc. I do remember when I first found SMF there seemed like a lot of people asking all kinds of questions. Mantic started his videos (always good), too. EDIT -...

Well, I like the scent, too ... a lot! And I always liked how my face felt after I shaved with it. Never liked its lathering capabilities, though.

Re: Merkur Futur??
My thoughts were that it might be a knock-off of a Futur, or maybe it was a company that bought and remarketed factory seconds or refurbs that they got cheap from Merkur. I am tempted, in any event, even though I have never been particularly fond of any shave a Merkur has provided me (but I have onl...

Merkur Futur??
Saw this at my local grocery store yesterday.
$20 seems like a great price - IF it's as good as the original

Gary - I did a quick Google on Fine Green V - I see a Fresh V at West Coast Shaving - with tallow as the number 3. they say "triple-milled, tallow-based" in the description. Is this the same - or is the ad old? I also see an orange-based that sounds interesting. Their Snake Bite splash sou...

Re: Last minute trip
Love Hawaii! I was privileged to go there twice a year for a few years for work - I had clients on Oahu and the big island. Went with an engineer - we could get all our work done by 2:00 local time and spent many evenings driving around touring and trying different places to eat. The drive across th...

Re: Deodorant
Back in my teens I would sometimes develop a rash with a deodorant. Stung like the devil when I applied it. But it would clear up pretty much overnight when I switched brands, and haven't had it since. I had forgotten that.

Swede's - I had forgotten
I have been using my General razor for quite some time. But - a comment from Dr Moss about the blades being for a different purpose than face shaving has stuck with me. Last night I decided to perform an experiment. I have an older Tech razor (the kind with the rounded triangle-shaped slots in the b...

Mantic's videos talk of soaking a brush in warm water while you shower/get ready/??

Afternoon all, As you might know - my wife and I are Realtors here in Austin. My wife has been doing a lot of work with long- and short-term investors here in the area and we became interested. Long-term investors buy and hold - renting their properties or 1-, 2- or more year leases. Short-term rent...

Re: Mexican beet
My favorite Mexican beer is Negra Modelo. My son likens it to "liquid bread" since it is a dark brown color. I love it ice cold, with a lime!

Re: I think I’m going to drink the peloton Kool-Aid
Sam - long post, sorry .... Wife and I dropped our gym membership back in January. We decided to get a Peloton - we both liked spinning classes in the past. Peloton models: Bike and Bike+. The Bike is now on Generation 3, which has a better tablet than Gen 1 or 2. Bike+ has a tablet on a swivel, so ...
