Of those saying to boycott Walmart, most of them have previously stated that they would never use Personna blades.

If you don't buy them, they are not stocked.

If they are not stocked, the company goes out of business.

Son, If you are looking for lubrication, try HeadSlick. I find it in my local supermarket chain, Publix, but I have also seen it at Kmart. It says it is brushless, but whips up a great lather. As a good friend of mine said recently, "Jack introduced me to HeadSlick. It could easily be the only ...

Actually, this helped solve a little mystery for me... A month or so ago, in one of my local Walmarts, a woman was complaining that they had gotten rid of "the black products," or, rather, the bump fighter line. Bump fighter, by the way, is an ASR line. This led to a discussion between us ...

Ah Wendell...not to be confused with Mr. Miagi.

My daughter is just about to enter high school and we still horse around. And while I haven't had to go off to the clinic, yet, I will admit to a few bruises and sore spots the next day.

If you are prone to them, there are some products on the market -- aimed at black guys -- that work really well. Bump Fighter aftershave is the one I prefer. In my line of work, I sometimes have to attend events, so I turn to this stuff to clear up my skin a little extra. Warning, though -- it burns...

When possible, Scott, don't dig around in there...that's how pock marks are made. Any decent zit cream should, over a couple of days, lessen the inflamation to the point where you could dig it out with a tweezers. Or, do what I do -- break out a GEM and drag it over the spot until you get a little b...

My grandfather was an Ivory soap man -- shave and shower.

Mind you, back then, it actually floated.

Well, Jim, you hit it on the head for me. Thank you for your time and your effort.

Oh, and I'm glad to see that someone else has played with bath soaps as shave soaps. I was worried I might be the only one...

Yes...I normally shave at an angle. I think we'd find most of us do...I mean, really, how do you shave STRAIGHT down?

I think what I like best is the angle of the head...the angle fits perfectly against my cheek.

No idea on the difference, Clive. As for the shave, the blade seems to glide through my beard easier. I can't explain it, really, and I still don't think it makes much sense, but the same blade in a different razor acts completely different. For example, using my trusty superspeeds, a certain number...

Jim, do you like the Basis over another inexpensive soap, say, Williams or VDH? Or is it the fact that the soap can be "repurposed?"

For example, I have used the last stray bits of Yardley violet in a cup as a shaving soap.

Like Gordon, when it comes to my skin, it takes a few days for problems to arise. For example, I can use a Sensor daily for a day or two without problems...but come that third day, watch out.
