Re: Razorock One-X shaving soap

Gary, there's really no menthol effect that I could detect. I think whatever menthol there is is for the scent. It's still an awesome soap with great performance.

Re: Tcheon Fung Sing Sottozero shaving soap

Gary, the menthol from this soap is not that strong but it's still very noticeable and pleasant. I used it again this morning and I enjoyed it very much. :)

Re: Tcheon Fung Sing Sottozero shaving soap

I think it's a lovely soap - but then again, I'm a menthol lover.

Re: Tcheon Fung Sing Sottozero shaving soap

Tcheon Fung Sing produces a lot of non-mentholated soaps as well. :)

Tcheon Fung Sing Sottozero shaving soap

Italian Barber brought in this Tcheon Fung Sing Sottozero soap recently and when I saw it I JUMPED on it because I had heard so much about it. Here are my findings! Ease of lathering: 10/10--A few swirls of a wet brush and BINGO, tons of rich lather. Longevity of lather: 10/10--Five guys can shave u...

Razorock One-X shaving soap

I received the One-X soap and matching aftershave yesterday and I used them both this morning for the first time. Here's my review of the soap: Ease of lathering: 10/10--Unbelieveably easy to lather. A few swirls is all it takes. Longevity of lather: 10/10--Perfect. Multi-pass shaves are so easy! Ge...

Folsom & Company Shambala aftershave

This aftershave is the type which thinks it's an eau de toilette because it has such great staying power. How would I describe the scent? Citrusy with some other notes which I cannot really explain, but the overall picture is very pleasant. Nice cooling sensation also! Folsom & Company really ca...

I'm obsessed!

I recently bought two fantastic shaving soaps from the Obsessive Soap Perfectionist in the UK and after trying the Grapefruit Menthol one and enjoying it so much I couldn't wait to see how fantastic the Bay Rum version was - sure enough, I wasn't disappointed! Ease of lathering: 10/10--This stuff gi...

The new fellow on the block!

I've only tried two artisan soaps from the UK - one of them being a good one from Nanny's Silly Soaps. There's a young gentleman in London, England who calls himself the Obsessive Soap Perfectionist and he came out with several fantastically-scented soaps. I bought two of them which arrived yesterda...

Henri et Victoria Fall's Lumberjack shaving soap

Here's a hell of a nice soap made by an artisan who lives two hours by car from me! Ease of lathering: 10/10--All you need are ten swirls and you're good to go. Thick, rich lather. Longevity of lather: 10/10--I think five guys can lather up with the same brush. This lather hangs on real good. Genera...
