Had both. Prefer boar. I'm taking the advice of other member/brothers and limiting money spent on brushes. I'm stopping at a dozen (bakers).

Saw one like it on Ebay about 6 weeks back, bit not willing to pay the price to get it. Glad to hear it shaves good. I'll consider it more seriously if I see one again as I am a slant kind of guy.

I thought Rapira Platinum Lux was better than most (top 10) but the Rapira Sweedish Supersteel was not as good. No exp w/Sputniks. I agree the Astra Platinum is good (top 10) for me also.
