I still have not had a hassle free awesome shave with it yet. Close to giving up on it as a 'just did not work for me' deal.

I am making (the recipie I posted) tonight, but these folks that are coming over to my joint have not a curry like this before so I will probably tone it down a bit (I tend to cook more by taste than by aboslute measure in a recipie), so will probably do more yoghurt and less pepper, we'll see...

I make a real nice chicken tikka masala that my wife often complains its too spicy but I love it.

One of its key ingrediants is yoghurt, but I make my own yoghurt so it would probably taste different if you use store bought...

I'll see if I can find my handwritten recipie when I go home from work.

My grandfather had a couple of injectors and a slime adjustable. I have the adjustable, but never bothered with the injectors.

yohannrjm, I got the extended tech handle. It doesnt feel all that heavier than my custom cooncat bob handle that I have on my tech. I'll often shave with my 55 diplomat, ranger tech or slim adj on #4 and have no problems, and they are all much more aggressive than my tech. I'll switch handles on th...

Have company coming over so I did a rare thing, shaved on a saturday :) I tried a Kai in the ikon, weird, the centre post hole in the kai does not quite fit the ikon post, the two studs are fine but the centre post is tighter than other blades. Half way through I switched to the same blade in the te...

This razor is not really that aggressive but you are not used to it so it feels like hell. But did it do its job and give you a great shave? yes I would say it was my technique as the first open comb razor I have used. Every other razor I have has a safety bar and the technique didnt change. The op...

I'd suggest keeping a written log, a little notebook so you can write down your findings for each blade since thats a lot to track :) and depending on how long you have been wet shaving if you can keep em straight in your head which ones you rank above what etc

ikons + blue birds

Well, tried out my ikon razor tonight. I have never used an open comb razor. Wow this thing was aggressive. It makes it very interesting to see how I use the safety bar on the tech vs this and the change required in technique.

nb. the bluebird shaved identically to the derby.

Tried a shark last night. Mine came in a white disposable plastic box rather than the cardboard box in squires review. So tried it off with the weekend stubble removal, wow, lots of tugging and pulling. Didn't seem to hold up. Junked it after 1 shave. Will try one more time but so far, not liking th...
