Re: Cappuccino
Hi Sam - Good to see a new post. I can't offer you an answer to your question, as I make tea at home and I go out for coffee. Common wisdom is that grinding quality coffee beans fresh is better - at least for the coffee cognoscenti. I'm not sure how significant that difference would be for you. You ...

Re: Shaving brushes made in Portugal
Pedro, those are truly impressive brushes! I prefer smaller brushes, myself, usually with a 22mm knot, but I really like the look and esthetic of yours. By the way, many years ago I lived in Brazil (1975 - 77) and in Portugal (1978 - 81). I loved it in both countries, and they became very much a par...

Re: Shaving brushes made in Portugal
This is interesting, papiu.
What is the brand of these brushes?
Is it a new brand and new factory in Portugal?
Do you have any personal interest in this factory?
Thanks.

Glad to hear you came out on top, Phil, though I regret you had to spend so much to protect yourself from an obvious injustice.

Good for you, Phil!
It's really discouraging to see the ever-increasing pursuit of ill-gotten gains. I'm sorry that you have become a target.

Re: Cataracts
Hi Gary -
It sounded like you were saying that you would undertake such a surgery, seeking no additional information and believing that nothing could go wrong. That surprised me, so I responded.

Re: Cataracts
When we got our eyes fixed we never dreamed of anything even remotely related to this train of thought. We presumed our doctors would know about such things, so we had the appropriate medical care and never looked back. Gary, I'm not sure if you are referring to anything specific, but even th...

Re: TOP FIVE DE BLADES in 2023
I would recommend Dorco ST300 blades for a teenager just starting to shave. While this blade isn't suited to a heavy or coarse beard, it is the most forgiving, gentle blade for sensitive skin that I have found. For that matter, it would be well suited to anyone with a light beard and sensitive skin....

Re: Dr. Selby's Lavender Luxury soap ingredients
Hi Gary - I bought some of the new product, though I haven't tried it yet. The main ingredients appear to be unchanged, though I have no idea what those identified by numbers are, as one has been added. The additional ingredients appear to be for scent, with a preservative at the end of the list. - ...

Re: Cataracts
Thank you Murray. That gives me plenty of time to research it. The prospect of not having to wear glasses afterwards is appealing but with my Astigmatisms...maybe not realistic. Phil, I had a lot of astigmatism, also, and we had determined that I had it both on the lenses to be removed and on the c...

Re: Cataracts
My last trip to the ophthalmologist indicated that I had the beginning stages of cataracts. How fast does this progress and when can I expect to need Cataracts surgery? Phil, I imagine it's a little different from individual to individual, but my developing cataracts were first identified in 2017 o...
