I use a 2235 super and think it is great.

Do all Vulfix brushes have the same density?

How does Harris' Sandalwood compare to Trumpers Sandalwood cologne? or Harris' Marlborough?

I thought I'd jump in with a question since we are on the topic of rose scented creams. I really like the T&H Rose scent but I think the scent fades to quickly while shaving. I'm not as thrilled by the TOBS rose scent, I think its a bit muddled. Is the Trumpers rose cream scent a stronger scent ...

Great work, Zach! You have answered the questions I've had about boar brushes. I have an old Gillette boar brush (made in England) that must be from the 80's. It was my grandfathers and I've held on to it for many, many years (though I let go of the razor... ). I have been playing around with...

Clint,

The soap is white like D.R. Harris and MWF. It doesn't smell rancid or 'off', but the smell is stronger on the 'brush'-side. I think I'm ok too; I was just puzzeled by the change of colour.
Thanks.

Re: Rancid soap?

You can tell because they will start developing yellow or orange spots on the outside of the cake, and the soap in that area will be softer to the touch. This is happening to my Creed. Parts of the underside is all yellow. I just keep it in the bowl. The soap still smells good. Should I take any pr...

I also just treat it like any other soap. But then I use a nice large, soft Vulfix so I spend a lot of time on the pucks anyhow

Thanks all, I gathered the the soap was not in high regards as I haven't been able to find anything about it. I was wondering because of all the Creed talk over on Colognes & Afteshaves  I agree that the D.R. Harris bowls are really nice. I have the Almond (thanks Gordon). The Penhaligon's...

Creed soap and wooden bowl

My wife gave me a Creed GIT soap for xmas. I love the scent and the soap, though I get a slightly thinner lather than from MWF and D.R.Harris. Also the wooden bowl it came in was not sanded/polished in any way. I thought this was a bit rough and strange coming from a high end firm, but I like it now...

I like the ASB, but I use the regular one since I'm not keen on the juniper scent. I use it as a moisturizer during winter, along with T&H's ASB.
