You can tell because they will start developing yellow or orange spots on the outside of the cake, and the soap in that area will be softer to the touch. This is happening to my Creed. Creed soap and wooden bowl
My wife gave me a Creed GIT soap for xmas. I love the scent and the soap, though I get a slightly thinner lather than from MWF and D.R.Harris. Also the wooden bowl it came in was not sanded/polished in any way. I thought this was a bit rough and strange coming from a high end firm, but I like it now...
