If the case is too far gone I don't think there is anything you can do about it. The plastic or bakelite ones are, of course, easy to clean, but the ones with the felt interiors would be near impossible to fix up. That's why razors in really nice cases usually go for the big bucks. I've got three ca...

I'd be hesitant to send cash also. But hey, for that razor for $33 US, I'd chance it. Nice catch. -Mo I wasn't too thrilled about having to send cash, and wouldn't really recommend anyone doing it. Even sending money orders through the mail makes me nervous, but my only other option was a wire tran...

Nice score! For some reason, every razor (about 3) that I've bought from Australia has gone for well under what I would consider to be the market value. One thing I found out was that if your seller is Australian and he/she doesn't take Paypal it is very difficult to pay for the auction. I don't th...

I agree Australia Rocks! This finally arrived in the mail today! Although it was tough to pay for because the seller didn't take Paypal, it turned out to be quite a bargain. The razor is in fantastic shape, there is only the lightest marks on the silo doors, otherwise it is perfect. The only problem...

Not to threadjack or anything but I uploaded some files.. Now my Gold 66 isn't as nice looking as TakeTheCann0lis', but I find that it shaves the same as the silver 66. Here are two pics of the blade gaps: http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11600/normal_DSC00311.JPG http://www.shavem...

Schick Type D, from 1935, the first Injector razor. Although this was the fourth Schick model produced, it was the first to use the blade loading system that became the standard. http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11600/normal_Schick1.JPG http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/albums/use...

Of the Schicks I've tried the 66 suits me best as well. I've got both the silver and a gold one, I find that they shave Identical. I've also got a slightly different silver one that doesn't have the crackle finish, and has a tab like piece of metal on the side of the spring... but I haven't used it ...

Chris the linkage cap has merely fallen off that superspeed, happens fairly often. the second razor you describe sounds like a flared tip rocket to me. Oh, I guess I can stop bidding on them on ebay then  At least that cuts down on the variants out there a bit. It really would have confused me...

Here is another version where the solid plate on the side of the head of the razor is split into two pieces. I thought this would be an older version but it has the notched center bar, though it doesn't have a datecode. http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11600/normal_DSC00277.JPG htt...

Re: Gillette Executive Love
Yes I know, I was after this razor; too bad I was cheap at the wrong moment. By the way, are you a WSox fan? My loss would even more painful since I'm a Tigers fan. Great buy, Regards, Alfred I had a very expensive day yesterday. You must be gaswepass Alfred? (excuse me if I guessed wrong, b...
