Of the Schicks I've tried the 66 suits me best as well. I've got both the silver and a gold one, I find that they shave Identical. I've also got a slightly different silver one that doesn't have the crackle finish, and has a tab like piece of metal on the side of the spring... but I haven't used it ...

Chris the linkage cap has merely fallen off that superspeed, happens fairly often. the second razor you describe sounds like a flared tip rocket to me. I use both hands, I thought everyone did! I should experiment and try using just my left (or right) for a shave, but I would imagine it would get quite awkward in places.
