I appreciate the link. My Razorbrite was a gift from my parents, who had purchased it years ago. Whoever sold it to them told them that it was one of several found in a warehouse somewhere. Not sure if I believe that, seeing as there's no box for it, but it makes an interesting story lol. Wonder how...

At this point she doesn't even care how much it cost. She doesn't want to see anymore packages in the mail for a while. Oh, well, in this case all you have to do is to ship it to your work or friend's house  When I was working that's what I did, although not to keep it from anyone as I'm u...

does anyone know anything about the Razorbrite Bath's?

One of the oddities in my collection is a razorbrite bath, like the one on ebay. (link below). Just curious if anyone knows anything about these.

welcome to the group. I'm also a relative newbie around here. I too tired of the amount of money going into the wastebasket and am going directly to straights My straight razors are out being honed as we speak.
The guys on this board are great!

I've also got one of those lil' devils in my collection. Underneath the head it's marked property of usaf, don't remember who made it tho. The case for mine isn't textured like the second case, it's a smoothie.

Lately I've been using AXE Snake Peel. Smells decent, has "desert minerals and cactus oil". Gritty for exfoliation.

one thing gels (or other canned cream's for that matter) are good for is shaving gel er cream fights. I remember going to a church camp when I was a lad and they sold canned cream (barbisol) for exactly that purpose. Shaving on the other hand, it's gotta be soap, mug and brush for me.

so far the only soap I can remember using is the new Burma Shave and Mug brand. If the bay rum soaps smell half as good as Masters Bay Rum aftershave I'll think I've died and gone to heaven.

Visited Washington State back in the mid 80's and had my first straight razor shave in a small barber shop there. It was the closest shave I've ever had. The best I remember it was 20 bucks or less back then.

Newbie here, but I had to weigh in on this thread :) My routine is to wash it with regular shampoo, once a week I use regular conditioner. I also use two types of wax, clubman mustache wax (I pick it up at Sally's Beauty Supply) and Oregon wild hair. I comb the clubman through and shape the stache,...

just browsed the collectors corner. Those foldabrush's are pretty neat. That's the first one of those I've ever seen. Did note that there several razors like some in my collection pictured. Going to have to unpack some of them and dust off the digital camera lol.
