The old stuff was STRONG to my nose. Very sharp and very present. Most potent member of the purple crew.

Do the bath soaps & shampoos have the same scent as the shaving soap? I found some Kent bowls locally and decided to try it on a whim. At first, there was very little scent and it was kinda like gramps' old wool sweater. After a couple uses it opened up, so to speak and the fern came out to play...

Foil I believe. How close to the AOS soaps is this stuff performance wise? Does it have that same clay base note to it?

While it lather great, my bowl of AOS lemon collects dust as the scent bores me.

I like the layout of the older forum templates and have never experienced an issue with stability on this site and since 2005 can't remember it being down for an extended time period. That being said, the latest and greatest never hurts. 1 dollar ehh? Must be in CDN currency, as the mighty Loonie be...

Another nod to to T&H Lavender. The scent has this uniqueness to it that stands out from the rest. Even the older iterations of the first tier bunch don't come close to it under my nose. Harris (old white tube) was very pungent, but enjoyable. The old TOBS from 2006 ish was a slightly muted vers...

I am not up to speed on the production logistics that surround the production of these creams, but could the St James notes be from the last production run in the factory; ie shoddy clean up / prep?

The Fat seems to crack more that any soap I've used. Tabac started with some little stress lines, but nothing major. Performance is not altered, to the best of my knowledge, so no big deal. I've got pucks from Harris & Trumper's dating back to 2006 and they are still going strong despite long in...

Quick question, and I'm sorry if it comes off as silly 8) - If someone asks "Good sir, what is that scent?", what do I reply with?

Forty Seven, eleven
Four, Seven, one, one
Four thousand seven hundred and eleven

Or do I attempt the German name on the bottle?

Thanks!

Pen’s Blenheim Bouquet has become my personal favorite in the citrus category. It lasts a good 6-8 hours on a warm day. GFT also has good staying power on me, but I’ve become less attracted to it and don’t wear it very often. It used to be my go to, but I guess my taste just evolved or I got bored. ...

OK, seems about right, thanks. The older tube stuff had a very strong scent to it similar to the older Taylor stuff. Of the Lavender team, Harris was always the strongest scented under my nose.

Tabac gets more ice time during winter months. Art of Shaving Sandalwood (cream) is great during fall time for me.

T&H Lavender and Harris Arlington are my all season picks.

I recall reading that the stock photos don't show the color.

Not to get too off topic, but is the Lavender still dark purple? I just finsihed off one of the old white metal tube and would be curious to know if and how much the cream has changed since.

Yeah, plan B is clean er up house my homeless Tabac puck which will be seeing more ice time come winter. This plan would also involve a new bowl & puck. The new puck goes in the drawer and the half done one gets a new home. I really like the Arlington / Harris logo, so the new bowl will be a fix...

Want to Buy - Harris Arlington Bowl (no soap)

Does anyone have a bowl for Arlington they can spare? Finish doesn't matter. While moving a while back, I taped the top to the bowl before boxing it up. Anyways, when I unpacked it the top logo ripped of. The puck is not even half done. Lately, this has become my go to soap. I've been using a new me...
