GFT Soaps. Where did the love go?

I have an older puck of Sandlewood and it works great. I just received all 6 of the other scents. This is obviously the new formulation. Haven't tried them yet. Am I gonna be disappointed?

I am fond of Col Conk Amber. I use the Apothecary Mug. I run the tap water to it's hottest and fill the mug with the soap in it. Then I place the brush in it is well and let it soak for a minute or two and fill up the sink with hot water. I grab a shaving towel and plunge it in the sink full of hot ...

My go to scent is Avon....Wild Country
My mother supplied me with it as a kid when she sold Avon and I have always liked it. It's me.

I have acquired plenty of domestic after shaves though and sometimes use:

Old Spice
Aqua Velva (ice blue/musk)
English Leather
Pinaud Clubman
Dressin (Tobacco)

I have considered walking in to a specialty store and playing dumb acting as if I had never wet-shaved before just to see what I am told...I sometimes do have a legitimate question about a new product and would really like to know the knowledge of the person telling me the answer. I guess in the end...

The Futur is a fine shaving instrument. I have 2 of the satin finish. Not sure why I purchased the second one...Must have been a sudden case of RAD!!! Anyway...Once you get used to the bulk of it in comparison to the smaller Gillettes it is a joy to shave with. Mine are set on 3. I use Feather blade...

When I walk into the German Deli here in Portland, I can smell Nivea immediately (Since the owner uses it). I think it is very strong in scent. I use it. In fact I have bought 3 tubes to date just to keep him stocking the stuff. $5 a tube is cheap enough. It lathers well. A slight pink color to it. ...

The only kmf shave cream I have found to be thin is the peach. All the others make a very thick and rich cream. I use 2 pumps and a fairly wet brush in a small bowl and get tons of thick lather.

Tough question. I am a collector of movies. Thank God for DVD's. My favorite actor has always been Clint Eastwood. I also like John Wayne, Charles Bronson, Gene Hackman, Lee Marvin, Yul Brenner, James Coburn, Robert Mitchum and the like. But I am young enough (40) to appreciate some of the newer act...
