C.O. Bigelow's also carries rebranded Vulfix brushes. Some are under the Trumpers names, some are under the Bigelow's name. I couldn't really figure out exactly what some of the Bigelow's were, but it's a decent selection. I think you'd be in good shape with a Vulfix or Rooney Super, and a Simpsons ...

Gareth, I respect what you have to say on this, but you keep insisting that there have been some changes to the creams as if I don't already know this. You may or may not remember, but I was one of the first to express concerns about the new Harris creams and started a thread detailing what I felt w...

Gareth, I'm well aware of the description of cold cream consistency being used to describe the newer creams. In fact, when Max first wrote that description, I had the same reaction you did. I resisted, however, imposing this assumption on him without really having a point of reference to make a defi...

Dan, I can't. I've tried it. Regards, Gordon Oh, fair enough, Gordon. But then, I can't get by even reasonably close with canned foam and a DE. Must have a lot to do with how we first learned to shave. I will amend it to say that believe it or not, I can get shaves that are just as good... ...from ...

Well, first off, no a brush stand is not a necessity. It doesn't do anything for the health of the brush. I do think, however, that there is one semi-cosmetic issue associated with this. I have noticed recently with my Rooney Heritage Stubby 2 that it makes a difference whether I just leave it on th...

Max, if your T&H cream looks like cold cream then it is likely to be the new stuff. This kind of goes to the heart of a matter I posted on another thread. Even something like the consistency of cold cream is somewhat vague and may or may not mean the same thing to everyone. We've now put in dou...

Multiple posts

There have been an awful lot of multiple posts recently on here. I even noticed that when I posted it would not show up on the thread, but I could see it at the bottom of the reply screen when I went to retype it. I can only assume my own SOTD will be repeated as a result. Bugging issues?

Greg, I can't speak for the New York store, but the chain Bigelow's have horrible prices. It's as if they take the price on the website and add the shipping for that single item. A pot of Trumpers goes for $35.00 if I remember correctly. Tubes were $22.00. The soap in the wooden bowl is ridiculous. ...

There is also a C.O. Bigelow's in the Kenwood Town Center in Cincinnati, OH. They carry the full line of Trumpers creams and soaps, as well as many colognes and skin food. They also have Floris colognes, including No. 89 the last time I was in town.

For the love of God, stick with one brush. It is the worst and most expensive disorder to have. The most I could see would be to have one very flexible bristled one for creams and one firmer brush for soaps. Even this is not necessary, though...
