as someone who was criticized for writing a post in caps i say: CARRY ON!!! Actually I wasn't joking when I posted that your "all caps" series of posts totally sold me on the big Omega brushes. You seem like a pretty calm guy so I knew they had to be good if you were that excited. :D The ...

I like my 1918 Old Type. With care it delivers a very close comfortable shave. It is very good if you've skipped a day or two on the weekend for instance. Not sure why everyone thinks they are so treacherous. I've heard some of the NEWs are far more aggressive. There is a fair amount of blade exposu...

The creme smelled like...peanut butter. I did not care for it and eventually I discarded it because it had become pretty old.. The balm I like. I mean, it isn't Acca Kappa Cedro but it isn't bad in the winter. The sandalwood is undetectable but the cedar scent is nice. Some low-end sandalwood EOs sm...

Re: Injector: possible corrosion

Hi all, I received my Injector N a few weeks ago but have yet to use it. It came sealed in its original package but has some light spots on the head. I'd say a wee bit of corrosion at first glance, but I'm not sure. It seems a bit strange to me, frankly, as the Injector was factory-sealed and, if I...

I received no cuts, nicks, or other incidents. This is definitely not for the beginner. The quality of the shave is superb. This one sings! I'll be happy to include it among my regularly used DEs, in rotation with the SRs. Nice skills. Its astonishing how much our SR experience affects our DE techn...

Dunno about EOs but so far as rose absolute is concerned I prefer Moroccan. I sampled quite a few before I reached this conclusion. The absolutes have a stronger and more accurate rose scent than the EOs ("ottos" or "attars") in my opinion. As for our brief guest visitor... well ...

Scott, How did you snip it, from top to bottom? I used to use a sharp knife and carve around the edge of the container. It worked pretty good but your method sounds a lot easier. Steve One 1/4" cut on the rim (top) with a tin-snip cracked both pots in half. The scent of these soaps is amazing ...

My PM is not sent

I replied to a PM and initiated a new PM recently and they just sit in my outbox and are never sent.

The FAQ says to contact the administrator but does not identify who that might be.

AOS unscented cream is good and nearly scent-free but I can't recommend the hard soap as it has an odd clay/dirt scent.

Extracting QED soap from its container

I like to keep my soap in glass bowls as a "loose puck" so I can drop them into a scuttle. QED soaps come hot-poured in something like a creme pot. So, what to do? A member suggested heating and pouring into the bowl on waxpaper and that would likely work but I thought I might be able to g...
