this is an example of the most common, plain handle old type pocket edition:
auction link
like I said i havent seen that particular handle, but the smart money is still on it being a pocket edition. shave wise it remains the same as any old type

Oscar a lot of the old style gillettes were silver plated to varying degrees (off hand i think up to triple plated, whatever that means). I wouldnt be overly nervous about it as I know ive done it before but these days I worry so little about germs on these things, a good cleaning with normal water ...

I loved the aesthetics's of this razor from the first time I saw it, I think it was in a photo of Cigar Dan's, but the praise and 'razor to have' of that time was the 66 and that stole the attention while this one kind of stayed under the radar. It's been on my list to try and get, but I have not la...

Now that's a take down :D The gold open comb razors are NEW gillettes, fantastic shavers and the common bar handle version, which you have 2 of, is probably my favorite of the line. The smaller one next to it, is most likely a NEW variant as well, as a quick check, see if the bottom comb guard has a...

well I VERY much prefer the older superspeeds, ballparking it- anything pre the 60's/70 models that lacked the horizontal rings on the tto. It was then that the razor got lighter and the head profile got flatter, both traits I do not like. Any razor you've shaved with for 20+ years is going to feel ...

http://upload4.postimage.org/1115169_fd6e7b425a2e062643de7ec803dde6e6/PICT0030s.jpg this has been posted before, but without it being a 'sticky' or what have you, it's no fault of yours. If memory serves Charlie was able to chat with a collector who also owned two 54 TV's, those were also Z-3's as ...
