This is not true (unless the creams have changed). There is no SLS/SLES in the creams.

How old is the "old" version. I had some T&H soap about two years ago and it came in the brown box like the "new" version. I don't know what the ingredients were though. All the pictures online show this brown box, so are you sure this is a recent change?

The hair on the Emperor 3 looks much whiter to me and the banding more distinct. The M7 looks more like Best by comparison.

Whatever it is, it's a beautiful brush. They don't make them like this anymore.

Squire, I tend to agree. The Vulfix/T&H 2234 that I had was a whiz with the English creams and my Kent BK4 is excellent with hard soaps so I'm not at all sure that stiff, very dense, brushes are necessarily more efficacious. Plainly they are more desirable for those who crave a lot of 'scrbbine...
