Yes. One of the classic 50's sci-fi flicks. Big stomping energy-absorbing machine.

Just seemed like a great forum name/avatar.

I was in scouts a lonnnnnnnng time ago. Learned about how to safely sharpen and handle knives, tie reliable knots, and generally do things correctly. The local cub scouts are selling popcorn right now as a fundraiser. I'm tempted to buy a box if the kid can tie a square knot. Two boxes for a bowline...

One of the things I like best about this forum is the high ratio of quality over quantity. Low post activity is not a problem for me.

Tuesday Lathering bowl is still down in the kitchen so this is the second day of face-lathering. VDH Glycerin whipped up with the C&E BBB Z3 Superspeed with a Derby(6) Polar Ice AS applied below the jawline The lather is definitely better without the bowl. Just seems richer and the optimal hydra...

The Delta 365 in amber/orange was always on my short list.

1. Orange
2. Blue
3. White

Go for the amber/orange. Simply a beautiful pen.

Just no love for the blue swirly pen? :?

RB: I'll repeat my vote for the Black Divina
FP: I'll second Squire's vote for the Delta 365

Upon further review:

I would go with the Black Divina. It has a non-metal section and looks classy enough for the boardroom. Also, keep a few refills. My experience with RBs is that they use ink far faster than a BP. The price of smoother writing.

I've been conserving the Proraso soap for weather like this:
Humid and in the 90s for the next three days.

Proraso whipped up with the C&E BBB
Z3 SuperSpeed with IP (day 6 and still smooth)
Generous application of Booster Polar Ice

Aqua Velva at the ready for Sunday (95 degrees).

The Delta sounds like a good deal. The Viscontis are about right, also.

BTW, despite my longstanding attraction to the Aurora Optima (~$500!!), the last pen I bought was a clear, cartridge filler with a steel nib ($20). Smooth writer and gets a lot of "cool" comments.

Thoughts on this one? http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=116177 Beautiful pen (if it's available). Are you looking for a FP or a RB? Snap or threaded cap? Italian? Don't forget about Aurora. The Optima is very nice. Then there's the Delta Dolcevita... At a certain price poi...

Given the choice, I'd go with The Renaissance.

I'm not much for metal pens, but this one has a nice non-mirror finish.

New Derby blade in the '56 SuperSpeed. Proraso soap whipped up with the venerable C&E BBB. Three days of beard under attack with WTG(2) and XTG(1). The new Derby was tugging at the chin/jaw whiskers but "no pressure" sometimes has that effect with me. A generous splash of Booster Polar...

You don't need a download. Get a piece of paper. Draw an oval. Stick a nose-like thing in the middle. Add a mouth. You're done. Now the fun begins. Use a cotton ball to see the directions the whiskers grow. Move the cotton ball around your face to find the resistance and angles. That will show the W...

First, I would suggest defining your intended use of the pen. Is it for signatures only? A daily carry pen? Journaling or letter writing? Pocket jewelry? That will help to narrow down the field. I define a carry pen as 1) less than $50 and 2) its loss wouldn't pi$$ me off for more than a month or tw...
