That's a beautiful effort, but without knurling, I'd be "ascared" to put a blade in the razor. That's the reason I rarely use my Pils.

Never been tempted to acquire this razor, as it reminds me too much of the Pils I have and rarely use, and the ikon S3S, well, half of it, anyway, ditto. I'm sure it's finely made, as reported, just no need to duplicate what I already have buried in the nether regions of my den. Love the handle, tho...

Oh, for sure. One cannot with confidence use the handles that come with the R41 head. They are too slick. I always use an iKon or Weber bulldog handle with their relatively deep knurling for more confident gripping. Love the barber pole pattern of the UFO.

Not everyone believes it, but the '13 really is milder than the '11. It reminds me of the 1912 Gem SE in terms of aggressiveness, and that's not bad.

Well, I shaved with "the Beast" once again this morning, and while it's probably the most efficient DE on the planet, it's also probably the most irritating to the skin.
