SOLD Stirling Finest Badger 24MM - mods please archive
BUMP 9/20/19 with pictures. This brush is fine, just not my cup of tea. Used maybe a dozen times, if that. Price new is $32.95 + $4.55 shipping so I paid $37.50 total. I will sell it for $20 including shipping to any US address (more if foreign). Thanks for looking. 20190920_172046.jpg 20190920_1720...

Re: I’m looking for very mild safety razors for sensitive skin. HELP!
Chris - May I suggest going down the road Murray mentioned. Because you have used razors that are about as mild as they get, maybe it's not the razor. As Murray has suggested, maybe you need a different soap. I think that a soap with better cushion MAY (just may) be the solution for you. D R Harris ...

Re: glycerine soap lathering
Interesting. I have never been able to load a brush properly with glycerine soap in a bowl, but have great results when using a glycerine soap shaving stick or rubbing the puck on my face. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me as to "why" but that has been my experience.

SOLD - PLS ARCHIVE - Parker Semi-Slant only $8.00
Hello SMFers -
The newly released Parker Semi-Slant gets good reviews but it's just not my cup of tea. Used only 3 times. I would like to sell it for the $8.00 cost of shipping to any USA address -- or a bit higher to foreign address as per U S Postal Service. Please PM me if interested.

New Cart Alternative -- $1.11 apiece from Costco
Costco website now has a refill pack of blades for $1.11 each but no handle. Wonder if their blades fit other handles? We have always had good experience with Costco products. Anyone have experience with these?

Re: gillette takes a hit
I guess they hit the wall going much past a $2 cartridge price. They seem to have peaked at the Mach 3, which is still very popular. I notice that Gillette 3 (not Mach 3) carts go for ~USD$1.60 each on Amazon. Costco proprietary brand 3-blade cart may be another option. I'm not a daily cart shaver ...

Parker DE Blades - a good experience
I tried Parker DE blades on a whim, thinking “this is new (to me) so let’s give it a shot." They appeared to have packaging identical to the Derby Premium black wrapper blades, so I thought maybe they were re-branded blades. But no, once again expectations and experience are two different thing...

@Dr Moss - what ever happened to the King's English that I learned as a native Californian? Has it been as corrupted just like American English?

Re: Older guys and mild razors
At 74 I think I qualify as an "older guy." Some say age is "just a number" but that has not been my experience. The skin on my face does not seem to have become more fragile but I do prefer a mild razor with a blade that remains consistently very sharp. The skin on my forearms an...

Re: Bluetooth adapter for the car
Gary - Back in the day, my tech-savvy daughter bought a cord that plugged into the cigarette lighter with the other end in a mp3 player. Worked just fine. No bluetooth needed. Not sure if the technology has changed, but worth a look at a place like Best Buy. Disclaimer - I am retired and do not (and...

Re: Bluetooth adapter for the car
Hi Gary - According to https://www.techora.net/tf-card-and-microsd-card.html here's the deal. Quote. "TF card or TransFlash card is generally used for its micro secure digital cards and was considered to be the world’s smallest memory card. Both the cards are very much alike and can be used in ...

Re: Changed my hair dressing
I never used any product at all -- none -- until recently. The barber shop used a very small amount of American Crew Firm Hold Styling Gel. Before I could object, it was done. I had the preconceived notion that it would be crunchy or shiny and make my hair look like a helmet. Wrong on all counts. Th...

Re: It's the 4th of July!
Happy 4th, y'all. I love that our Canada Day and your Independence Day are right behind one another. We were in Halifax on a trip on July 4th a few years ago sand there was a GIANT celebration. Our tour guide (a Canadian from near Calgary) said that things are left up after Canada Day to make it ea...
