I have recently been using a generous sample of Trumper's lime skin food and it is excellent - but I don't know how it will perform in the heat and humidity of summer. In the past I used The Body Shop after-shave gel and found a very little goes a long way. They recently changed the formula slightly...

Just out of curiosity, which forum? it was actually Octopus Overlords. And thnaks for the welcomes. This is actually the first forum that I have posted on. You all seem like a good lot. Colin Colin, Like you, I consider myself fortunate to have found the SMF forum, and consider it to be perhaps the...

His MSNBC article did inspire me to check out wetshaving, so I am grateful for that.... Ditto! I do check it out once or twice a week but admit that I don't read everything all the time. When an entry interests me, I read it, otherwise, I don't bother. I did get a kick out of the Cary Grant shaving...

I find that shaving N-S below my nose is the hardest of all the shave. I have to be very conscious of letting the razor weight do the cutting rather than reverting to putting some pressure on the razor to get into difficult spots. I also have stopped a S-N pass under the nose as well - but do at lea...

So far, I have only used the Fatboy first with a Gillette blade and now with on of the Derby blades. I tossed the Gillette after 5 shaves as it was starting to pull a bit. I think I prefer the Derby blade to the Gillette as it seems to more smoothly glide across the face. It has been working out ver...

Re: Almond Cream- C&E vs 3 T's

I've seen a lot of info regarding C&E Almond cream. Any comments as to how it stacks up to the English guys? I picked up samples of all the C&E creams the other day, and have tried all of them. I find that they lather up really well, and stay moist and creamy on the brush even into my final...

This morning I used the sample of Nomad shaving cream that I picked up from one of our C&E shops last week. Actually, I had never used C&E products before I tried a sample of Sienna a few days earlier this week. I am mightily impressed with their shaving creams. I got a bit of burn but that ...

Nice looking razor Indy. I have gone off scented aftershave and cologne products the past while, but still love my scented shaving creams. I am testing some Crabtree & Evelyn right now, as well as some Trumpers. I am not as keen on the trumpers per se - but really like the C&E stuff. I'd lik...

I would say that badger hair isn't as firm as boar bristles either. You will find that it moves around your face with less resistance, but the end result feels like you are getting better exfoliation - at least that's how it feels to me.

I use a large pill bottle with holes drilled at the top for ventilation. Well that just saved me some dough. I can't believe I didn't think about that. In fact, my wife was just at the pharmacy with my daughter and had them throw in an extra large pill bottle that fits my brush perfect. Drilled 5 s...

C&E Travel Brush and Container

Anyone own or used this brush? It sells for $40 CDN and although I don't travel often, I worry about protecting my regular brush when it gets packed in my kit bag and then subsequently in my luggage.

Appreciate any feedback or suggestion on packing your brush for travelling.

This looks to be a decent deal - even the buy-it-now is under $30 USD which isn't bad at all. If I were buying I'd pick one up, then immediately replace the Boar's bristle brush with a badger hair.
