Re: Seeing the Crimson Tide

I was disappointed in the outcome. But it was a game for the ages. Clemson was certainly the better team last night.

Re: Job Problems

I went yesterday to meet with the people who called me back. They talked to me about coming in at a salary a bit below what I was making before. I would be taught every aspect of the business. Once I learned the business, I would be put in charge of all accounting for a wholly owned subsidiary, and ...

Re: Job Problems

So there is an update to my situation. I have had interviews for two different jobs in the last week. I met with one yesterday that told me I was way overqualified for the job I was interviewing for. So I expected to hear back from them next week to tell me that they were going in a different direct...

Re: Any fountain pen users here?

I once collected FPs a few years ago. I need to get back into it. I am partial to Lamy. My favorite is a blue Lamy Studio. I really like an XF nib. I also have a couple of large and really heavy pens. I had a friend send me one a few years ago that is 52grams.

This thread brings back good memories.

Re: Getting into bike riding for fitness

Sam, if you are going to a bike shop. Be prepared to tell them how tall you are and perhaps endure a few measurements. A bike shop worth its salt will try to get you into a bike that fits you. And trust me, it makes a difference how well a bike fits you. I am partial to Trek and Specialized myself. ...
